Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi rinol
You can find the maps here:
http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guidebook/disneyland-park/map/
You might be best getting annual passes - see details here/www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/
the cheapest annual pass is 99 euro, but there are some days its not valid, so need to check which ones. You need to buys tickets on gate on first day, but queue shouldn't be too bad by 2pm, then at some point in the day go to the annual passport desks inside the park (you'll need passports for ID). The cost of the tickets you bought to go in will be deducted from the charge. There will be a queue - I think I waited an hour, but you then get use of magic hours so you can stay in the park later that night when it will be quieter. You also get a discount on food and shops so get the pass before tea!
We make the most of every minute we are there!Be the change you want to see :j0 -

Someone has given you the DLP food guide link but a small tip to save on expensive drinks. Take a bottle of water and refill them from the many fountains around the park.
The water is perfectly safe and, IMHO, of a higher standard than UK water
Pint of lager is €6.50 - in Ludvigs
Large pop corn is €7
Bottle coke €3
(prices form recent traveller)

Hi all,
I want to take myself, partner and 3 small people (5, 5, 7) to DLP next year. I have looked at the website and some of this thread but am just trying to get an idea on how much to save and when the best time to book is. We've never been before and it will be the kids first trip abroad.
I read the pros an cons about different times of the year, I hate the cold so Easter, May or Summer is probably preferential for us. I want to start saving as soon as, but not sure how much to aim for.

finally conviced dh to take us all to dlp this year!:jbut so lost on trying to get the best deal etc!
we have a 5yr old and 5mth old and looking to go anytime from may to july as this is while i am still on mat leave. when i went to the travel agents she said she couldnt tell if they have off peak/peak rates ( not sure if she was telling porkies!) obviously as we are flexible i would rather go when its cheapest!
not sure either on how many days to go?don't want to drag it out but then again dont want it to be completly rushed! i was thinking mon to wed?or would i be better adding another night?
as we have a baby can anyone suggest a good hotel? someone suggested the siquita?or something like this!! we would like it to be quite close as like to be able to nip back with baby etc if required!
can someone tell me whether the eurostar is our best bet?i believe this goes straight into the park, so thinking not too much hassle with bags pram etc! and is this better booking as complete package with dlp or separatly?
would be very grateful if anyone else with a baby has been and has any words of wisdom!!
again just want to make it as stress free and fun as possible without paying a small fortune uneccessarily ( travel agent didn't seem to get this concept! just offered us the most expensive package i think!!)
I say you need a minimum of 3 days to enjoy everything but even this is a mad rush with kids especially a baby I can see that taking longer, stopping for feeds, changes etc so I would aim for 5 days in the park. If you look on disneylands website as though you are booking, choose hotel etc the calendar is colour coded and it tells you their cheapest and most expensive dates to go. The weekends are more expensive than the week, so if you can go monday-friday. The week is also MUCH quieter than weekends although Friday will be busy and Thursday slightly moreso than the beginning of the week.
the sequoia is close, about 5-10 mins away but the cheyenne is the same difference, cheaper and the same key level. its also lovely theming. the hotel new york is a 2 min walk from the park so could consider here. its literally next door to cafe mickey in disney village.
its cheaper to book seperately and you can add disney express on with disneyland paris direct for 15 euro per adult so im told. we saved £300ish buying eurostar seperate.
we 1st took dd when she was just 2 so not a baby but still in nappies. there is a dedicated changing and feeding station in the park which has highchairs, bottle warmers etc and also sells napies, baby food etc but they are VERY expensive.
I found thomas cook good as they offered me 5% discount off disneyland paris price's but then co-operative travel said they would beat that and give me 8% discountWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

we went once in september and it was shorts and t-shirt weather there, it was out of season so cheaper and quiet too.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
We came back on Friday, and we had a ball! We stayed mon-fri in the Disneyland Hotel, and it was out of this world!
On a slightly more MS theme though, this is what we found...
We didn't go for the pre-paid meal option, as it was going to cost over £500 for 4 of us! And I'm very glad we didn't, as this is what we spent (2 adults, a 12 yr old and a 7yr old)
Night 1, Annette's diner, 4 main courses and a couple of rounds of drinks was 70 euros (7yr old ate from children's menu, 12yr old from adults)
Night 2, take out from the New York sandwich place in the village was 45 euros
Night 3, Cafe Mickey 2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 rounds of drinks for adults, both children ate from children's menu 107 euros:eek:
Night 4, Cafe Mikey, 2 main courses, 2 adults drinks, 2 children's meals was 75 euros
Total spend under 300 euros.
We weren't avoiding puddings etc, if we'd have wanted them, we'd have had them!
In the park, bottles of coke/water etc were 2.50
hot dogs 5.95
We did of course do the MS thing of having a HUUUUUGE breakfast and taking some rolls, croissants, fruit etc from breakfast for snacks. Was it bad of me to have gone prepared with small foodbags for this?:D
And a tip I found on Disboards is worthwhile. We went do DLP last year, and had kept our entrance tickets as souvenirs. You can use them in the Fastpass machines without any problems, so you can have 2 Fastpasses at a time instead of 1!!0 -

Halloween season is fantastic,I prefer it to Christmas!
and last year @ Oct half term ,it was really sunny! didn't even wear a jacket for most of the day in the parks ( hope it''s the same this yr when we go in Oct!)
If you can take the kids out of school and go in term time, it will be cheaper & quieter

it's a service whereby your luggage gets taken from the station straight to your hotel
You'll travel direct to Disneyland® Resort Paris at the 'Marne - la - Vall!e/Chessy' station, then leave your luggage at the 'Disney Express' counter - you're then free to start having fun in the Parks as soon as you arrive! And whatsmore, your bags go straight to your Disney Hotel!
(Please note that this service is not available for Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch®.)
And on your departure, you can leave your luggage with the concierge at your hotel and pick it up at the "Disney Express" service desk at the station, just before boarding the Eurostar, so you can have maximum time in the Parks before you head home at the end of your stay!
Key benefits:
• Hotel pre-check in
• Disney Eurostar kids pack
• Disney team on board
• Luggage transfer to/from hotel
• Go straight to the Parks upon arrival
