Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi all, can anyone help please. I have booked to go to Disneyland at the end of July. We are flying with Easy jet and will arrive at 18.20. What is the best way to get to Disneyland from the airport? Train or Private cab? Is the train difficult?
Also what have people done for travel insurance, I havent sorted it out yet as wanted to get the best deal, there are 2 adults and 3 children going.
Many thanks everybody!
We've done it twice by TGV and I'd highly recommend it. It only takes 10 minutes, the station's at the door of Disneyland, and for us it actually worked out cheaper than any other method (2 adults, 2 children)0 -
I usually get my travel insurance for DLP from moneysupermarket.com. Rarely pay more than £8 for our insurance, for one adult and one child.0

We bought 5 season tickets year before last (for the price of 4)
Fantasy at 139 euro, limited to 335 days, but didn't cause us a problem, for unlimited entry for those days

Don't know about online, we buy entry at the gate then go to the passeport annuel office by buzz lightyear and upgrade.
We actually took the motorhome, the season ticket includes parking, so we used the carpark and showers as an aire de service, then had a week in the park, bought weekly passes for the metro, and went to paris for a week, (stayed parked at disney) then had another week in the park.
So if you factor in the fact we got three weeks camping as well, it was a real bargain.
I have bought shares in disney now, as there is a further 15% discount on the season ticket.

(Passeport annuel includes fastpass as well)
I don't think you can combine the 15% shareholders discount on annual passes with the 20% family of 5 discount. If you are going to DLP for 4 days or more (or visiting more than once a year) annual passes do represent far better value for money than park tickets.
I bought my shares in Disney early last year, and in one trip they paid for themselves in discounts (the price of shares has increased since then though, so maybe 2 trips and they'd have paid for themselves these days).
If you are considering buying shares, and also annual passes (if there are 4 or fewer in your family group), get the shares sorted out first, so you can use your 15% shareholders discount straightaway when buying your annual passes in the parks.
Incidentally, you don't have to buy a park ticket at all to get into the parks to buy an annual pass - you can sort it at Guest Services at the entrance to the main park, there is also a Guest Services at the entrance to the Studios park, and Bureau Donald near Guest Services at the main park can also sort out your full annual pass.0 -

From the link to the shareholder website, about the 15% discount
"Can only be combined with the family discount (for a single family, same address, in compliance with the general conditions of Annual Passports Brochure) on Fantasy and Dream"
so it should be about 95 euros each for a family of 5
don't forget the free parking, and fastpass, so it's even better value for money.0 -

Thanks - thats really good value for a family of 5 then.
Any park ticket or annual pass will give you fastpass, they are free for anyone entering the parks.0 -

Is the fastpass for everyone a recent thing?
We were there the year before last, and not everybody had the fastpass, certainly the majority were queueing in the long normal entrances, fastpass was very quiet by comparison.0 -

no its because people dont really understand how to use it to its advantage. they see the clock showing 3pm, and as its 11am, think well i wont be in this area of the park come that time, so whats the point - they then just join the normal queue and think they have done well, if they manage to get on the ride before 3pm - not realising they could have spent the inbetween time joining all the shorter queues and doing those rides, before coming back for the FP one later, and just walking on

Exactly - I don't queue for any ride at DLP for more than 15-20 minutes on principle. I've seen queues of 75 minutes plus for Peter Pans Flight for example, and we ride it easily 3 times a day with no more than a 5-minute wait, using Extra Magic Hours and fastpass during the main park day.0 -
Ah well, and there was me being smug. There were an awful lot of people missing out, who had no idea they could use the fastpass as well though.
Going to do it again next year probably, it's worth it for us for the camping, even if we don't go into the park every day and just drive out for some of the days, so long as we get back before they shut the gates.0
