We had a bath and a shower over the bath, tv and phone in the room. You can hire kettles and hair dryers , well theyre free but you have to pay a 25 euro deposit for each which you get back when you return it.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

I believe they have just extended the dates for booking to get a maximum of 40% off a stay, on the official Disney site (you now have until mid-July to make a booking and still benefit from the up to 40% off deal). If you play around with your dates/hotels etc, you may find a bargain (but its all going to be relative, as premiertravel says, Disney has bumped up the prices quite a lot over the last year, so a 40% discount might just bring the price down to round about what the standard rate was 18 months ago ).

I am a long time Disney fan - first visiting EuroDisneyland, as it was then, in 1992

Back in February this year my wife & I went to Disneyland Paris and took advantage of the "Meals for Free" which is similar to the "Half Board Meal Plan".

We were really sold on the idea of pre-paying for meals - especially in light of the poor £:€ exchange rate, and so chose Disneyland Paris instead of other possible destinations albeit that 3 days at Disnye Paris was about the smae cost as 7 days full board elsewhere.

From the web site I thought we were being offered breakfast at our Disney hotel, followed by 3 course buffet lunches and dinner at the various Disneyland Paris table service restaurants and Disney Hotels. This was a particular benefit as we wanted to have lunch on 2 of the days at Walt's and the Blue Lagoon.

I say "thought" as I carefully printed out all the web site information prior to departure and followed the advice to pre-book the various restaurants prior to departure.

When we got to Ashford station to pick up our vouchers it became clear that the Disneyland table service resturants were only available for dinner and not for lunch.

For lunch the vouchers could only be used for set meals at counter restaurants or as a €10.95 discount again the price of a meal at any other restaurant, which at a Disney table service restaurant means a minimal saving - just about covering the price of a soft drink.

So we ended up just having counter service meals for lunch and having buffet meals at the various Disney hotels in the evening.

I have been trying to get some form of apology or recompense from Disneyland Paris when we returned to the UK, but they insist it was my fault and that that are sure the restrictions were shown on their web site, but can not provide any proof .

I still have the printed copy that states there were no restrictions, but their view is that no one else has complained.

I may have misread the information on the Disneyland Paris web site but I do not believe I did. I am now very upset with Disneyland Paris and thought I would document this so that others don't make the same mistake that Disneyland Paris say I did.

    Buyer beware...

I also went on a trip to DLP which included the "free meals" at the end of last year - but my understanding, and what I read (and copied from) the official Disney site at the time, was this -

"Included in your "All your meals for Free!" package, you will find 2 meal vouchers per adult & child (from 3 years-old) per night: one "meal voucher 1" + one "meal voucher 2" as described below.
Breakfast is at your hotel and already included in your hotel stay.

    Meal Voucher 1:

This voucher is valid in the restaurants listed below, for an adult menu at 10.95 euros and for kids menu at 4.95 euros

The adult menu at 10.95 euros includes
    1 main course,
    1 side order,
    1 dessert & 1 soft drink (40cl)

The kids menu at 4.95 euros includes a choice of
    1 main course,
    1 side order,
    1 dessert & 1 soft drink (25cl).

    Restaurants:
Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost - Restaurant Hakuna Matata - Caf! Hyperion - Au Chalet de la Marionnette - Pizzeria Bella Notte - Toad Hall Restaurant - Fuente del Oro Restaurant - Restaurant en Coulisse - Disney Blockbuster Caf! - Casey's Corner.

These restaurants are located in the Disneyland Park & Walt Disney Studios Park

    Meal Voucher 2:

This voucher is valid for an adult menu (1 starter, 1 main course, 1 dessert) or buffet (depending on the restaurant) + 1 soft drink (33 cl / water 50cl) or 1 child menu (1 main course, 1 dessert) or buffet (depending on the restaurant) + 1 soft drink (25cl).

Valid in one of the restaurants listed below depending on your hotel. These restaurants are located across the resort (in Disneyland® Park, Walt Disney Studios® Park, your Disney hotel and Disney Village)

If you stay at Disney's Hotel Santa Fe or Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch or Disney's Hotel Cheyenne, your "meal voucher Standard" is valid in the restaurants listed below:
Silver Spur - Agrabah Caf! - Plaza Gardens - Restaurant des Stars - Chuckwagon Caf! - La Cantina - La Tavern - Annettes (no bookings)

If you stay at Disney's Sequoia Lodge or Disney's Newport bay Club or Disney's Hotel New York, your "meal voucher Plus" is valid in the restaurants listed above plus:

  • Sorry to hear you had a bad time with the meal vouchers.

We were at DLP last month and had the free meals offer too. I copied the same text as balletshoes and I thought it was quite clear what is included? We thought this was great offer, especially after hearing how expensive the food there is.

We used the vouchers at face value to have 2 character meals, one buffet and one table service, and had some lovely food. We used the higher value dinner vouchers for the character meals although they were at lunchtime, there was no problem with doing this. We also had the run of the mill burger/fries combo meals which were nothing special but seemed to taste a bit better since they were free :p.

The vouchers saved us a fortune and we hope the offer is on again when we plan to go back again next year. We ended up having vouchers left over, even after using them at counter restaurants to get the kids lunchboxes, character straws etc.

Again, I'm sorry to hear it fell short of your expectations but it was a great deal in my opinion.

    Dear wannabe_moneysaver and balletshoes,

Thanks for your information. If only I had been able to see what you found before I booked. It seems that Disney have now deleted the information form their web site. When I asked they could only "assure" me that the informaiton was available when I booked.

Do you have the original url / web page saved?

I must admit that I did not think of using the dinner vouchers for lunches and the lunch vouchers for dinner. However, as the park was shutting at 1900 each day when we were there it would have meant having supper a bit early. We did enjoy having the later buffet suppers at the various Disney hotels.

    Regards - PC

    Thanks balletshoes :)

Looks like the similar to the page I found except that the link to show "Click here for further details on the vouchers and the list of restaurants where the vouchers are valid in." does not take you to the details, but instead just takes you back to the same page.

In other words there are no online details about what you get as part of the package. The page does state that: "2 meal vouchers per person (from 3 years old) and per night booked in a Disney hotel. Children under 3 years old will receive baby food. Vouchers can be used for lunch and dinner (except brunch) throughout and only for the duration of your stay. Eg: from dinner on the day of arrival to lunch on the day of departure (breakfast is included in your package at your hotel).".

So, to me, the page is just as misleading as before with no mention of "counter service" for 1 meal per day.

The dates state that the offer is no longer available, which may explain the broken link. It is useful that the page is still there, but doesn't inspire much confidence that they look after their web site properly.

This was the page that DLP Guest Communications provided to me when I complained and I pointed out to them the link didn't work. This was when they assured me about what the link did say, but it differed totally to what I found.

Perhaps they had not got the pages correct when I booked the holiday?

I was going to just give up on this matter with DLP Guest Communications and put it down to experience, but I am now more tempted to keep bashing on at this. What really annoyed me was the way DLP Guest Communications told me "this is the final response that we can issue".

The deal may well be good value it taking children under 7 but ours are now well past this.

For 2 adults staying 3 nights we effectively paid £350 extra for €26.60 dinner + €10.95 lunch per day which I make to be about £200 so this is not the wonderful deal that Disney make it out to be - at least for 2 people.

I'd worked out originally that this was a good deal based upon 2 table service / buffet meals per day.

We'd originally only wanted to go to the Santa Fe but when we saw that it we stayed at the Newport Bay, Sequoia Lodge or Hotel New York then we could eat at Walt's. However, when we tried to book the "Meals for Free" was only being offered at the Hotel New York.

Now the Hotel New York is a very lovely hotel, but it was not really worth the extra cost to have the same counter service meals for lunch and a buffet service meal for supper.

I am now a very unhappy Disney customer, but DLP Guest Communications don't seem to care.

Does anyone have the email and/or postal address of Philippe Gas (CEO of Euro Disney)?
