hi, can i just pick brains please - can u take packed lunches into the parks, own drinks etc ?

someone told me you couldnt do this and all bags are searched

    thanks

yes, you will be absolutely fine taking food/drinks/snacks into the parks. just no alcohol, and no glass bottles etc. all bags are searched at the entrance to the parks, but they don't confiscate food.

Yes Cat1 - just go through the main gates, and its almost immediately on the left, before the shops. I'd say it's worth getting the pass early on (especially if you have magic hours - get in before the rush). We don't use ours all the time but depending on when you are there at a weekend it's great. I don't know how your DS is but be aware some of the entrances to rides can be quite dark, and long even if no queue eg Pirates of the Carribean and this can be a huge issue when you are in there a long time. The exit pass at Disney normally allows you in the exit (much shorter), or a different route (Crushes Coaster was a different route in a long corridor I think).

Thanks again - you have really helped! To be honest my DS probably won't want to go on any of the rides but occasionally he suprises us. We went to Lego land a couple of years ago and at 8 years old he would only ride the duplo train for toddlers :rotfl: We're probably going to let DS do as he pleases and me, OH and the other two children will just take turns on the rides we want to do. Have spent a lot of time over the years trying to coax DS into things we think he might like only for him to back out at the last minute!!

You're welcome Cat1. You never know what they'll go for do you? Our DS has always been terrified of people dressed up (never done Santa) but on our last visit to Disney last year he spoke to Woody, gave Mickey a hi 5 and pulled Robin Hoods tail. Ask at City Hall if you can do parent swap so you could all go on in 2 shifts if DS doesn't want to do them.

    Have a great time!

    Dear balletshoes,

When I look on the Disneyland Paris web site FAQs it states:
    Eating at Disneyland Paris Resort

Can I bring food into the Disney Parks?

Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the Disney Parks. If you would like to bring your own food, a picnic area is available between the Guest parking and the entrances to the Parks.

    Ignore that.

I've been every year for the past 10 years, and we have always taken our own food in. No-one has ever questioned. No-one has ever stopped us.

How can they possibly enforce that? There are hundreds of thousands of people going in there everyday.

Honestly, there is no problem taking food/drinks/snacks into the parks with you. I've taken cookies, crisps, sweets, drinks, muffins etc through security numerous times, they have a look in your bag and wave you on.
  • I once took my own hot-dog cart in, and parked up in Main Street.
No-one even batted an eye, and I made an absolute killing.....;)

going back this year with a burger van....;);)

If we buy one adult annual pass while we are there this time, can we get the discounts straight away on eg eating in the restaurants?
