The free meals option gives you vouchers for lunch and dinner, the half board is just an evening dinner only so bear this in mind too.

My apologies i did not realise lunch was included... Dammit there's always a catch, i though nearly £100 saved was too good to be true..:).

Then again lunch wise we nearly always aquire that at breakfast time if you know what i mean. ;)

LOL, I do but I've never had the balls to do it with lunch.... I did nick some pain au chocolate last time and felt incredibly guilty and I had a pocket full of squished pastries by 10.30..... :rotfl:

Yes, lunch is included too, seems too good to be true, you get vouchers to go into any of the restaurants, I need someone to come with me because I am there as a carer for my son and someone will keep an eye on DD and all of our meals are paid otherwise I do not think i could have afforded to do it.

Brumming - what is the Easy Pass please, I am taking my autistic son too. Is it the same as Guest Assistance Pass or has it changed? What does it give you? I am dreading it as I know it is going to be packed but we had to go that weekend. I've just bought a Major buggy to take with me, did you take one? Did you take all of your letters/DLA forms/Blue Badge??

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I am organised, I hate taking stuff if I do not need to. Ta.

Not sure what a Guest Assistance pass is, but the Easy Pass was like an Exit Pass, so we didn't have to queue at all the rides. I got a letter from the GP stating the difficultly as it has to be dated within the last 3 months. We took this to City Hall and they gave us the Easy Pass which is dated until you leave. Different rides operated differently, some you just go in the exit and show the pass to the cast member there, some you have to go to the normal entrance and find the cast member there who give you a ticket with a time for your go, and the number in the party, which you take to the exit at the time on the ticket - we usually were told to go straight there, but they can only only have a certain number of people using the pass every 15 minutes, or it plays havoc with the queue! If it's really busy they might say it can only be used for 2/3 people, and if there are already people waiting with a pass they will book you a time to come back The staff were all really helpful to us. The lady at City Hall even said "some people may be rude if they think you are jumping the queue - ignore them, you are entitled to use the system, tell the staff if you have any problems". The pass also means you can use the disabled viewing spaces for the parades. There is limited space here, and you are not guarenteed a space.

Are you staying on the park? If so, make the most of those magic hours.

Any more questions please feel free to ask.
Be the change you want to see :j

Thanks for that brumming, it sounds the same as the Guest Assistance Card then. Although with those not everyone get's in at the exit. I'll do that, luckily we went to see the consultant and I got a letter last week that mentioned him having autism - before that it would have been from 2 years ago but I am going to take all of them anyway as not all of them state his diagnosis so at least this way I am covered.

Yes, we are satuing on Hotel New York, it is open til 10pm on Satuday and possibly Sunday then home again on Monday. Can't believe we are off this weekend. Ds is saying he does not want to go so that will be interesting!!

am i the only person who takes sandwich bags away with me, so i can properly wrap the takeaway

also, if you plan wisely you wont end up eating the same for lunch, as for breakfast - you can easily make cheese, ham or egg rolls for lunch, and grab some fruit - whereas for breakfast, i would have cereal, toast, croissants and yoghurt

make a flask of hot water in your room, take some of vending machine drinks like hot chocolate, coffee and tea (available in QD and Poundland), and youre well away
