Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

My family of 5 Adults & 3 Children booked with Siesta Holidays, for December staying in The Newport Bay Club for 3 Nights with passes to both the park & studios. We thought we met the booking criteria for 'free meals' but we have now been told that as they are an independent travel agent they are not included for any offers. If we had known that we would have booked through a different travel agents, we now have to get together extra spends to cover the meals we thought were included! Gutted is putting it lightly.
miffy, some dates in December do not have free meals included - could this be why?? The travel agent should not have anything to do with it. Have you paid in full already? Can you cancel? It might be worth you thinking about this as it might be cheaper to book yourself then to use the tarvel agent and get the free meals - if available - check expedia as the DLP website is not working at the moment, if it is available it will come up as FREE DISNEY DINING PLAN on the option and next to the price.
HOWEVER...... all is not lost. I would call Disneyland Paris (number on the back of the brochure) and see if you can get it added on, or you could add the half board meal plan to your booking as it is far, far better value than paying when you get there. It costs a fortune to eat there with the rate being so bad but you'll get the dining plan for a good price and it is in GBP and it will be one meal paid for at a discount before you go.
Call DLP and tell them that the Agent did not offer you it and you can see it is available for free and see if you can add it on. If you do not try you do not get. You can download the briochure online and the number is on the back of the brochure.0 -

Thanks Blue_monkey,
we are going on the 12th December which I understand is within the offer period. unfortunatley we have paid in full & wouldn't get our money back. I have previously emailed DLP about the offer but their response was that they were to busy to answer my question, so I guess giving them a call may be more productive.
Why are things never straight forward or is it just me!0 -
the free meals only applies if you book direct with disney a lot of travel agents cant offer these dealsWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

I never asked before, are you going on an agents deal? How did you book it? Did you take the Disney brochure, point it out and ask for that holiday??
Would definately give them a call though. Tell them that you have booked this break after seeing it advertised on the TV and are within the offer period and ask why the agent did not give you the free meals. If they were supposed to then go back to the agent and tell them that they give you the vouchers. The resort might also give you the vouchers. I too would be annoyed.
As an after thought, if you have pointed it out in the brochure where it states free meals then I would be writing to Disney Customer Relations as well, send it Special Delivery and see if they can reply before you go as they might send you the vouchers (specifiy the urgency for a reply and enclose a COPY of your boooking form).
If the Agent has been at fault and has booked it incorrectly then you should eat at the places allowed (you can print a list of these off the internet), keep all the receipts and ask the agent for the money back when you get home. Should they refuse then take them to small claims court for it. This will only work if you have the letter from Disney to say the meals should have been booked though and if you know fir sure the Agent booked it incorrectly.0 -

thomas cook, leger and co-op travel all told me the offer is only if you book directWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
I have to admit, I would never use an agent now anyway so have not checked the big ones, I do not know why anyone feels the need to pay them £500 for making a phonecall and booking the same break you could online at home.
I do know I used expedia and got free meals. I also found a good number of agents offering the free meals deal while browsing but I got cashback from Expedia so went with them.
miffy, did you speak to them yet??0 -
I actaully found it cheaper using Thomas Cook saved 5%. That and the fact i get thomas cook vouchers from shop scan & consumer pulse covered almost half my holiday. the rest i bought thomas cook vouchers off ebay which i got for 10% off the value so saved a lotWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
