Excuse me put your glasses on, and read a few posts back. You will see it's you who started.. Your assumption that we wrap food in paper towles and let it roll around in a bag obviousily was well thought.:rolleyes:0 -
another good way to get free food is to go into a restaurant, say Lucky Nugget for example - ask if the kids can urgently use the loo, then when the staff aren't looking get them to cram as much stuff from the buffet as they can can into their pockets. We do it all the time, saves us bundles, and the kids think its great funPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

LOL, Monkfish, that actually made me chuckle out loud.
I know it has been going on for years, at least all the time I have been going. Last time I thought I would give it a try and it was not for me. I pack some odds and ends in my case though, snacks, as they are expensive when out there and not much to choose from. That being said we usually eat them on the train though. Ha ha!!
I've enough packing for the kids let alone thinking about a lunchbox, sandwich bags and a flask and doing that each morning. Fair play to anyone who does it.
However, for us, DLP is a holiday treat, we do not get many days out because of my son and we save to be able to afford to do things like eat in Rainforest Cafe (which is well overpriced but the kids adore going!!) because it is a once a year thing and a special treat for all of us. I don't want my kids to remember me snaffling food at the breakfast buffet for the sake of saving a few ££ - especially as it is a break from the everyday mundane stuff.
Surely coming home and moaning about how crap the food is all adds to the Disney Experience??? LOL.
Has anyone been to WDW USA? They started to make foods healthier out the kids meals are huge (even too big for me to eat) and they come with grapes or raisins and apple sauce on the side. Got to admire them for trying though.0 -

how can the food be stolen, when its an eat all you can buffet? what i steal could be half of what some people eat in one sitting at the hotel for breakfast
also, the food in the park is dire, unless you like burger and fries. we dont like to eat two cooked meals a day, so just want something small and light for lunch, and to have our proper meal in the evening
waste of your holiday making up rolls? i dont know, im sitting at a table, whilst the kids eat their brekkie, i butter a few rolls, not exactly a great loss of time. in fact i think by making rolls at breakfast, i actually save time, as we can eat on the hoof, and not have to get in the long queues for food, so end up spending more time actually doing disney
This thead is all about moneysaving at DLRP. it isnt the discussion forum. if you want to debate the rights and wrongs of stealing from an all you can eat buffet, then please take your opinions over there
