no they're not great prices, because you are being charged for your 7-year old (until this year, March was always kids-under-12 free). I'd wait a bit (you've got ages yet to book a good price for March) and I'd also consider playing around with the party size in each of your rooms, to get the best price overall.

    Thanks for your help again.

Can I ask what price should I look to pay roughly? Travel Empire have given me a quote of £1,100 for 2 standard rooms.

on the official DLP site, for one adult and 3 free kids (as it would have been up til now, under-12s free) for your dates in the Sequoia Lodge is £493, and for the 2 adults in their room its £638 = £1131.

If you are getting all 6 of you in 2 onsite rooms at the Sequoia Lodge, including park tickets for the duration of stay for you all, and you trust the website you've got the quote from, I'd say go for it :).

    A quick fastpss query:

We've got EMH, so will make the most of that. Does Fastpass work as follows:

You go to the ride and pick the time you want then come back and go on the ride. Once you've done this you can then use your Fastpass for another ride and so on and so on.

For rides that are not open in EMH, can you still goto those rides and get fast passes for when the rides open?

    Thanks

the fastpass machines don't open until 10am each morning.

Fastpass works like this - when you go to the fastpass machines, above them in the queue area you will see the timeslot the fastpass machine is currently giving out, so when you put your park ticket/AP into the machine to get a fastpass ticket out, you will get that same timeslot. Its a 30-minute timeslot you get, you can't go to the FP line for the ride before the beginning of the timeslot, and you should try to get there in the 30-minute slot, as there is no guarantee you'll be able to use it once the timeslot has passed.

You can only hold one fastpass at one time, and you can't go get another one for any ride until either the beginning of the timeslot you already hold, or 2 hours after you got your first fastpass ticket, whichever is sooner.

yes, book the £69 return fares now with Eurostar, and aim for a Monday or Tuesday check-in date (these are the cheaper days of the week to check in at the DLP onsite hotels).

Then wait to see what deals come out around September for your onsite hotel package - at that time you'll be able to compare with offsite and onsite room only and buying your own park tickets/APs, and by then the French and other countries will have their November packages out for sale, often they have better offers than the UK site, and you can book using any countries website.

Oh, and don't pay for any meal plan at DLP - if you have to pay for them, they are not worth it, especially as your children are so young.

eta - just had a look at the UK DLP site for your party for 3 nights arriving Monday 17th November, at the Santa Fe - its showing me a price of only £420 total (you get one night free on a 3-night stay, and 2 nights free on a 4-night stay, so 4 nights from 17th November is also £420).

Thanks so much for your help. So i think we are going to do 17th for 4 night stay, looking at £446. Im assuming this is the best deal we are going to get? Sounds pretty good to me!!!

The issue now is the travel! I orignally was looking to paris not to the disney stop, if we get the eurostar to paris is it easy enough to get to disney from there as its a big difference 138 comapred to 338!!
Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping !!

Paris to DLP is a bit of a faff to be honest, it involves a metro journey and then a local train.

If you wait until 90 days before your check-out date, you should be able to book the indirect fare on Eurostar to DLP via Lille. Its one fare, from £69 return per adult, kids under 4 are free, and involves one change of train, all at the same train station (Lille international). Its very easy (I did it with 2 teenagers and a 5-year old in April).

So that would be around 21st August, you could be looking to book your Eurostar (and keep the Paris option as Plan B).

ahhhh i see, so the £338 quoted is the direct at 10.17, and then they will open the indirect a bit nearer the time...

So would we be best booking the package through DLP UK now to get the 4 nights 2 free at £466 and deal with the travel at a later date?

yes i think so - remember to look at the room type at the hotel you're being quoted £466 for - sometimes if you change the room type the price comes down.

would your 3-year old prefer to be in a bunk bed or in a double bed? Theres very little to choose between the 2 hotels, the Cheyenne has one double and a set of bunks in each room, the Santa Fe's standard rooms have 2 double beds in.
