  • Just got back from DLP and all I can say is WOW:j what a place,I was a bit concerned at some of the bad press dpl had been getting, but no worries it's just Disney magic at its best, the dreams show at the end was the best I've ever seen, the look on my daughters face was pure joy,and her getting to meet Mickey and Minnie she's buzzing:D.
Thank you balletshoes for all your info. :T

  • Well I've booked it. We're off to DLP on 20.12 and coming back Christmas Eve. Have booked my six year old a birthday breakfast with the characters, a cake and have told all my family I'm cancelling Christmas this year.

Got everything for £504 (at Santa Fe) with tickets, half board meals, and Eurostar for £243. About what I'd spend at Christmas on everyone - I have a huge family!

69 days to go.. So excited!

how did you like your hotel? I've never stayed there but I've seen good reviews from repeat DLP visitors for the Sejours et Affaires.

The hotel offer apartment style rooms, the room we had,was 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed,the room was clean had good heating, plenty of hot water, the wifi was a bit weak, and there was no kettle, but I get the impression it's the same in all the rooms. For a basic hotel it was great, and I'd stay again.

Hi download Dreams from YouTube as it keeps me happy!!
I love sejours ! It is very reasonable price. As we drive we pay for the use of the underground carpark and a couple of times our package has included breakfast which is even better. Yes we always take a kettle & toaster !!
Nice smellies including 2 pairs of slippers!!

you must try it Ballet Shoes...
  • Just back from a long weekend break for what was our 3rd visit to DLP. Things certainly have changed in the 20 years since our first visit. Visit two was 6 years ago, so interesting points below which I hope are useful.

    The Good:

    Dreams show-simply breathtaking
    Walt's Restaurant-top notch dining
Cheyenne Hotel-basic but clean & good value for an on-site hotel
Ride Queues-very manageable for a weekend
    Food Court Dining-delicious food
Parades-a guaranteed highlight of any trip
Cinemagique-simply the best Disney attraction...ever (and a great cameo performance from the bunny rabbit)
Lovely river walkway from Hotel to Park-never used the shuttle buses once
    It's A Small World ride closed-enough said
    Rainforest Cafe-excellent meal

    The Bad:

MGM Studios-very soulless & you would struggle to notice you're in a Disney park
Fraying at the edges-noticed many signs of the park showing its age: worn out flooring, areas in need of some TLC etc
Attention to detail-Weeds left to grow at Indiana Jones ride entrance + throughout Studio Tram Tour & C3PO's right eye not working on StarTours !
3 hour delay on outbound flight
    Food Court prices-just too expensive
Lack of manners from some park guests-some things never change
Some FastPass kiosks closed-why advertise them as FP ?
Armageddon-surely a candidate for worst Disney ride ever
Merchandise prices-Other half paid 45 Euros for an Eeyore which I'd expect to pay £20 max for locally in a Disney Store
Lazy/ignorant guests not stacking their dirty trays in the racks at breakfast...grrr

    The Ugly:

Smoking-it's less of a habit and more of a National Sport on the continent it seems. Witnessed too many instances of parents smoking next to their young children. Sick of the smell within 5 minutes of arrival. Come on Disney, create some smoking zones & leave the rest of the parks in a better state for the majority who don't appreciate passive smoking.

I'm wanting to book DLP, around similar dates to you. Can I ask who you booked with £504 seems like a good price. I can't get it to anything close to that.

Please bear in mind that there are only 2 of us going - me and my six year old (who apparently goes free)
We're staying at the Santa Fe, and just booked through the normal https://www.disneylandparis.co.uk (eurostar was extra on tp of dlp package)

And it was £250 odd cheaper going the Friday 20th rather than Sat 21st. We could only do that as both my son and I have non pupil days for the last day of term.
