Oh, UHT is fine. Any milk as long as it's milky is fine. Thanks for that.

you'll be fine then - most of the hotel gift shops sell cartons of milk, you can also pick some up in the convenience stores inside the train station at the entrance to the parks on your way in or out of them :).

Which hotel is better Cheyenne or Santa Fe?

I am being ridiculous. Stupid stopping smoking, making me feel like I have lots of money.

thats brill that you've stopped smoking and have pots of money to spend going to the Disney bubble :).

Which hotel do you like the look of, and which would suit you better?

I prefer the Santa Fe, I always have, and especially since its been totally refurbed now, and the Cheyenne is beginning to look like it needs one, I'd pick the Santa Fe. But if you want bunk beds in the room as well as a double bed, and a great external theme, maybe the Cheyenne would suit you better.

I did like the look of Santa Fe. There will only be me and a six year old - well 7 the day after we get there- going.
Now looking into seeing if I can book a birthday cake for him!

People are telling my wife to book her park tickets online before she goes. But for a 4 / 5 day stay I'm not seeing how you can save money. Ditto "get your queue jumps before you go" When the FASTPASS doesn't seem to work that way.

The cheap local tickets, franciliens aren't an option.
I spend less than I earn and if I can't afford it I don't buy it. I'm guessing that makes me a money saver.

Apparently I have become Disneyland obsessed. Not content with having gone for the first time in August, and already having booked Florida for three weeks Aug 2014, I am now considering booking from 20.12 to 24.12 at DLP for my son's birthday (22.12) and Christmas presents.
Does anyone know if there are any actual shops to buy milk around Sequoia Lodge/Cheyenne/Santa Fe?
My son is ASD and doesn't eat proper person food so would have to take everything with me.. I can manage everything else but would need to buy fresh milk somewhere.

if it has to be fresh milk, i think you'll need to go to the supermarkets in Auchan val d'europe. You can pick up cartons of milk all over the place at DLP, but as far as I know its UHT milk (this is the "normal" milk in France).

it will be very cold and very busy. I would recommend going nearer the start of Xmas season instead

The lodge rooms and main block rooms are all exactly the same. If the hotel isnt full (i dont think it will be) you can book a lodge room and then contact the hotel just before you arrive to ask for rooms close to reception and you might get rooms in the main building anyway.

Eta~ always good to mention its a birthday trip too, you might get a further surprise upgrade/treats for the kids on arrival.

    BOOKED! :j:j

Oh thanks for the birthday tip. Shall suggest son sends an email to them :). Thanks again balletshoes :T:T

ignore those "people" ;). You're here, you know how it works :). I wonder if those people have only been to WDW, as DLP is completely different.
