Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. I've only looked at prices through the official Disney website as I wasn't sure how legit some of the special offers websites were.
The 3 day 2 park ticket is £144/adult and says it is valid for 1 year from date of purchase which would cover July next year.
The annual passes do look like a good deal, I can only find info on non official Disney websites do you know where I can find the information on the annual passport on the Disney website?
I'm a bit confused how I'd actually purchase the pass? just at the gates to the park? I think I need to do a bit more googling!
many thanks0 -

dlrpmagic's website is the best one, it beats the official DLP site for information easily read on annual passes.

as you're considering paying £144 for 3 days, you'd be just as well buying a fantasy pass at the gates of DLP when you arrive, as its 159 euros each (so around £135) and gives you the discounts as listed on dlrpmagic, plus access to Extra Magic Hours even though you're not staying in an onsite hotel. All you need to buy your AP at the park is your passport for ID - its a very easy process.

go into the park for extra magic hours at least once on your trip, to do Dumbo, Peter Pans flight, the teacups, carousel, and Buzz lazer last with no queues (Dumbo especially gets busy after around 9am and theres no fastpass for this ride).
How much is it to get in for extra magic hours???!!!0 -

nothing - its a free service if you are staying in an onsite hotel, or have Fantasy or Dream annual passes and are staying offsite. If you are not staying onsite, or if you don't have Fantasy or Dream annual passes, you don't get access to EMH.

This may sound daft but a friend and I are going to the Christmas markets and then paying a visit to Disneyland Paris before travelling home. We are planning to travel and stay overnight on 4th December but it looks like the park is only open until 7pm. Is this right and, if so, does this mean that we miss the shows? We are both in our 60's so the rides aren't so important as just getting the Christmas magic that I remember from times gone by.
We also want our own rooms, good quality and comfortable but not expensive. Has anyone any suggestions? I have looked at Sejours Rive Gauche but would prefer a hotel if possible.
Thanks for your advice :0)0 -

the shows all take place in the main park all day, you will see a Christmas cavalcade parade, the Magic On Parade main parade, tree lighting, castle lighting, and finally Dreams lazer/firework show in your day. If the park closes at 7pm, you will see all of this except Dreams before 7pm, and Dreams will start at 7pm, and will be over by 7.30pm, when the park will close for the evening.
If its the christmas themeing and atmosphere you're after, just go into the main park, don't bother with the studios - it doesn't get dressed up for christmas in the way the main park does.

as in single rooms? sorry, i have no idea if any hotel near DLP offers those. There are lots of budget hotels in the area, have a look on expedia/travelrepublic/alpharooms/trivago etc for Disneyland Paris, and hotels at DLP, plus in val d'europe and bussy st george should come up. All of these are very near to DLP and served by the very frequent and cheap local train service from the gates of the parks at DLP.
eta - theres this one - its not expensive, its quiet but 2 minutes walk across a lit courtyard from the train station at val d'europe, ensuite cabin-style toilet/wetroom, and its clean -

i've stayed here for one night in november a couple of years ago - couldn't fault it really.0 -
Thanks balletshoes, you are a star
I would really like to stay at Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe but, at over £70 each, it is too costly. We want to do some Christmas shopping for bits for our families and grandchildren and I remember that Val d'Europe was good when I visited several years ago. Somewhere nearby would be good which is why I looked at Sejours Rive Gauche.

That Ibis budget hotel I linked to earlier is literally at the other side of the train station at val d'europe from the L'elysee, so its less than 5 minutes away if you go through the train station itself and out the front main door.0 -
Cheers Balletshoes,
I think annual passes are definitely the way forward since it looks cheaper, plus then we can go in on the day we arrive and not have to wait for the following day.

i havnt been abroard for nearly 10 years now. do people take cash or travellers cards? although to use them in shops etc, i think they have to have the master card acceptance mark. not sure if id be able to use this in disneyland?
