thank you, thats a great help.

ive read about cafe mickey, and not sure whether to include it or not? think breakfast was £50 something and lunch or dinner £90  but this will probably be the only time we visit so might splash out?

don't pay for Cafe Mickey in advance - order a couple of pizzas and sides between you (like in Pizza Hut). Don't order kids meals, they are not good value at all in Cafe Mickey. That way you keep the costs down and its still a full character lunch or dinner.

i think i read that some mornings in the hotel, a different character will come and visit in reception for photos etc, do you know if thats correct?

yes - between 8am and around 11am each morning

also heard the breakfast time can be a bit hectic and its best to go early.

    definitely - before 7.30am or don't bother ;).

so we wont be able to eat at a different hotel with our meal vouchers?

yes you can - thats what i said in my earlier post :).

will have to get a brochure then for more info on the meals, thank you!!

are there any other extras you recommend, ie shows etc?

i know people have probably asked these questions before on this thread. ive had a look through quite a few of the pages but there are sooo many.

thanks again for your help! :T

edit: sorry, but what is EMH?

Extra Magic Hours is 2 hours in the main park usually, from 8am to 10am, which is open to onsite hotel guests and annual pass holders only, not to the general public. About 8 rides open in the main park during this time, so you can ride them with no or little queues. Definitely worth doing at least once if you have young children. Have a look on DLRPMagic, theres loads of great information about the parks on there.
  • great, thank you so much for all your help, and saving me some money! :) we wont bother with disney express then & thanks for the cafe mickey tip!

do we have to book while we are there? or just turn up and order pizza & sides like you said?

  • you won't need disney express - just take your luggage to your hotel on your first day, check inthere, get your park tickets etc, and if your room isn't ready yet, leave your luggage at the Santa Fa luggage store. This is free, and is right next to reception. Then when you come back to the hotel after your day in the parks, you just pick up your room key and your cases. The onsite hotel luggage stores are all fully-manned secure stores.

is this the same for the day we leave aswell? the eurostar doesnt leave till about 4pm so would need to leave our luggage somewhere from when we leave our hotel untill then.

have tried looking on the dlrpmagic website but think its down at the moment? says Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

Well our holiday has taken a very quick turn this morning. Son has booked their flights to Paris. We haven't even looked at prices for Euro tunnel! Lol.Prices for hotel inc half board (free) and tickets included site states. Bonus for half board! To get into parks early can we only do this by buying a yearly ticket and not the hotel one?
Son says prices of transfer to hotel from airport are £45 each. I need to look back and find post about booking with someone else and see if cheaper. If anyone can quickly guide me to that post or say where to look I would b grateful please. Alarming rate this! Not even 24 hours since we were asked to go! :)

reserve your table in advance up to 60 days in advance, with the disney dining reservation line 0033 160304050. This is a free service. Then just order your pizzas etc from the a la carte menu once you are seated :).

the onsite hotels do a great service on your last day if you are on the direct Eurostar home to London - you pay the hotel 11 euros total, for all your luggage to be taken to the train station Disney Express luggage store, for you. This is definitely worth it if you have a lot of luggage or young children with you. There will be a sign on the check-out desk at your hotel with this information on it.

if you are staying at any onsite hotel, you have access to Extra Magic Hours in the mornings, no matter what kind of park entry ticket you have :).

Your transfers from the airport should be no more than 18 euros per person each way (ie nowhere near £45 each ;)). Have a look at rstransports, ezyshuttle.com, interprestige, and tioshuttle. These are all private/shared taxi services, they all get repeat guests using them between CDG and DLP, and they are reliable, if booked in advance.

Thanks ballet shoes. I did look back, found Rstransports.com and sent the link over to son. They quote around €58 so I am assuming that is for all of them. They are coming into Orly and departing from CDG airport but you can't stipulate different airports for return journey. I have just emailed them to ask.

One note if anyone is looking to book the same hotel both the swimming pools, inside and outside, are closed for maintenance from 2nd to 16th adecember. You aren't allowed to use any other Hotels pool either they say.

Not sure who is more excited son and OH or nearly 4 year old! Think it's father and son winning atm! :)

Just started reading this thread, there's a lot to get through.

My wife has had a crazy idea of taking our 2 young children over Xmas or new year, this year! Had a few quotes but accommodation is £1500-2000.

I know its an expensive time to go nbut are there any quick tips I can check out before I get fully up to speed with how it works. It is so confusing.
I spend less than I earn and if I can't afford it I don't buy it. I'm guessing that makes me a money saver.

As swimming pools out of action at Sequoia Lodge we are now looking elsewhere. Son thinks it better to have pools as children are so young and they both love the water.

New York, New York Hotel - slightly more money but they think it may be worth it. I have looked back and there are a couple of favourable "yes" to the hotel.

Balletshoes : Are there are any other hotels we should consider instead please? Thanks :).
