Thanks again Balletshoes, you really are a wealth of info!

So, i'm basically way ahead of myself then!!! Nothing like being organised!

Do people think 4 nights/5 days is too long then???

Thanks for an idea of Eurostar prices..... how early is early, lol?!?!

Brilliant details about the food too, will definately look at the website you suggested.

Lastly, is 1st Sept a good time to go???
    Thanks again, Bev

not necessarily - but midweek, if the schools are not still on holiday when you go, will be nice and quiet, no queues to speak of really, so you might find 3 nights/4 days better for a first trip. Having said that, I like 4 nights and 4 days, thats my perfect length of trip for DLP, because I feel like I've had a proper break with 4 nights away in the hotel :).

7.30am on the day they release the fares

it could be a great time to go, if as you say, the schools are back in term by then. Keep an eye on the French government website, it lists the French school holidays year by year.

Minnie isn't that easy to meet - however have a look on the park programme for the studios park -

    http://news.disneylandparis.co.uk/UK/EN/Neutral/Images/ShowsAndParades.pdf

she has a meet n greet at scheduled times, so get there 5 or 10 minutes before the start of one of them, and queue to meet her.

Mickey has his own meet n greet venue (its an attraction in itself) at the back of Fantasyland in the main park. Again, the opening times for this are on the park programme. It should be quiet when you are there generally, so you shouldn't have to queue that long to meet him. But again, best time to go is just as they are opening the attraction, or near its finish time. You will see how long the queue time is on a noticeboard outside the venue :).

    Enjoy!
  • we are thinking of booking for 2 adults, 2 kids wed 19th feb 2014-sun 23rd feb with half board meals at hotel santa fe for £664. does that seem a good price? it would be in half term so ideal for us.

also, sorry if its mentioned already, we are thing of travelling by eurostar as it seems the cheapest option for us, but think i will have to phone them as dates arent available online yet. how far away is it to the park? would we need to get a bus from train to park?

    thanks x

do you have to go then? its French school holidays next year at that time, which is unusual for our Feb half term. This means, as well as it being cold and in the middle of refurb season, the parks will be much busier than usual.

April or May school holidays may be better for crowd levels if you can wait (although it might be a bit more expensive).

Are you paying for half board with the deal you're seeing for the Santa Fe, or is it "free" and 20% off your hotel price?

Eurostar prices for Feb next year have already been out, online and by phone, since the end of August, so its unlikely you'll get good direct Eurostar prices now. You might get an okay price if you take the indirect Eurostar via Lille (prices will not be available for that from Eurostar until 12 weeks before travel, so around mid-November).

If you take the Eurostar, the train comes into the DLP train station, which is right next to the entrance to the DLP parks, and the free shuttle buses for each onsite hotel are right outside the exit of the train station. The whole DLP resort is very compact, from the furthest hotels (Santa Fe and Cheyenne) to the parks is a maximum of 20 minutes walk :).

I can see the direct Eurostar fares for your dates on the Eurostar site (the online fares go right up to July 2014 at the moment) - for your party the direct Eurostar price is now £487 return.

    http://www.eurostar.com/uk-en

for the indirect service, its still Eurostar which sells it, but you can't get the fares until as I said 12 weeks before travel. So just keep looking on the Eurostar site from mid-November, and as soon as your fares appear for your dates, book them (Eurostar prices only get more expensive the longer you leave it).
