  • Hi everyone, I was just wondering where the cheapest place to get tickets is? I'm going October half term and have already booked my travel and accommodation, I just need either a 1 or 2 day ticket for Disney for myself and my two teenagers.

Wow, loving our time here already:j although our feet are killing us all :rotfl:

We are off to the Studios tomorrow and we need a place to eat, can anyone recommend one at all?

the Blockbuster cafe, near the Rock n Rollercoaster ride, is good value counter service (go for early or late lunch though, it gets busy).

    Enjoy!

try ticketnet.fr, fnac, the French version of the official DLP site, plus cemultiavantages and promoparcs.

    Hi,

I'm looking at going (3 adults, 2 year old and 5 year old) from 25 Oct - 28 Oct. I know it is over the weekend and half term but does anyone know how bad the queues will be and if it would be worthwhile. We've been once before and my daughter is nagging me to go again (she's in school now so can only do over half terms).

Also was looking to stay in a DLP hotel this time - Cheyenne / Santa Fe because of the 30% off offer they have on at the moment, but wondering if you would be able to do it cheaper staying offsite rather. We will be driving through. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One last thing, is it cheaper to book this on the French sites?

It will be very busy as French schools finish on the 19th and I'm guessing that choice and availability of where to stay will be somewhat limited at this stage. Have a look at a few previous pages and you will find a wealth of good information posted by balletshoes on where to research for accommodation.

We always drive there too, my advice being if stopping on the way in service areas don't leave the car unattended! (No personal experience of this, but advice given to me by someone who has a holiday home there).

honestly? I wouldn't go, it will be so busy you won't enjoy it.

If you're tied to school holidays, the upcoming ones that might suit you best are (in order of how busy they are likely to be)

April 2014 (as long as its not the same dates as French school holidays or Easter weekend itself)

May 2014 (before 29th May though, thats Ascension Day, big public holiday in France)

Feb 2014 (usually a brilliantly quiet time to go, but French school holidays are in Feb next year unusually)

October 2014 (avoiding the weekend altogether)

Christmas holidays - although, depending on when your children go back to school in January, the few days after 1st January could work out very well for you and be the quietest of the lot.

you can compare your school holidays against the French ones here -

    http://www.education.gouv.fr/pid25058/le-calendrier-scolaire.html?annee=108&zone=0&search_input=%A0D%E9partement%2C+Code+postal+ou+ville

Avoid weekends if you can altogether, especially with young children. The parks are much busier at the weekends compared to midweek.
  • what time should we aim to get to the park for as i noticed we don't get into our rooms till 3pm?
    wouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday :)

    :j I am a winner! :j

Thank You to all who post and who make this a great site!

thats not strictly true ;) - you can check in, leave your luggage, then head to the parks any time you like from very early in the morning (i've checked in at an onsite hotel before 8am). If your room is cleaned and ready, you'll get your room key when you check in. If your room isn't ready when you check in, no problem, as I said you can still leave your luggage there securely for free, and just come back to hotel reception later in the day after you've been to the parks, to collect your room key and take your luggage from the luggage store to your room.
You will get your park tickets on your first day when you check in, and you can use them as early as you like on your first day, until as late as you like on your last day, after you have checked out of the hotel.
  • ^ ah i did wonder :) i'm so excited!!! but i've to wait till MAY!!! lol

Thanks, I'll have a look on those sites.

Such a shame it's going to be really busy, but we'll just have to tough it out now :(
