Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Afternoon all,
So, annual passes now booked (the prices are slightly lower again on ce-multivantages, so we went for it!), hotel booked, crossing booked.
Also discovered that Dreams will be changed for over Christmas to feature Olaf - the snowman from the new Disney film Frozen. Great, says I, we'll take DD to see it in the cinema before we go to Disney (16th - 21st Dec). However, it seems that it won't be released in the UK until 20th December!! Bah..
Then I got to thinking..... the Cin!ma Gaumont in Disney Village - do they do English language showings at all??? Does anyone know?

not regularly no. Occasionally they do, you'd have to check with the cinema itself once you are there, to see if they are doing English showings.0 -

Ah, thanks balletshoes - I won't rely on it then. Looks like it's a cinema trip after we're back then!

we are going to DLP next May or July (haven't finalised the dates yet) with my OH and 2 boys (9 and 8) from Aberdeen, no idea whether to fly/drive/train. Flying would probably be easier but which airport would i fly to and how do i get to DLP once we land? or if i fly to london what airport should we land at and then how do we get to the eurostar. My OH hates flying and is keen to go by train but i think Aberdeen to London is too far for us to go with our 2 lads on a train. My oldest lad has ADHD and we have to keep the journey as short as possible. We are staying for 4 nights at the New York hotel, no idea what to expect since this will be our first proper holiday staying in a hotel rather than with family. Any ideas about how much money i would need to take to spend roughly. What is the weather like then? whats the best thing to do regards to meals? i noticed the outdoor pool will be open in june so i might book for july. Any tips for virgin travellers with children??
thanks
wouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday

Sorry, can't help much with your travel as we live in Derbyshire, always drive and stay at Davy Crockett Ranch, but as you have a lad with ADHD you may be eligible for a pass to bypass queues on most rides. Haven't done this ourselves yet, but have enquired about it when there previously (my 12 yr old is wildly autistic) if you go to City Hall in the square and take documents and ID to show his condition, docs need to be less than 2 yrs old, they may give you this pass - worth looking into I think. Also French school hols start on 5th July next year so will be busy there from then."Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

We went last week and it was mostly wet!
Toad Hall is good for fish and chips (about 50 euros for 4 portions with a small cake and a coke).

from Paris CDG airport you have the best onward transfer links to DLP, but you can also do it from Orly or Beauvais (there are shuttle services you can book in advance for the onward transfer, prices start from around 18 euros per person, one way).

can you get the sleeper train from Aberdeen to London overnight, then take the direct Eurostar from London to DLP in the morning? If you take the plane from Aberdeen down to London, you'll be looking at staying at a hotel the night before you get on the Eurostar from London to DLP - and then on the way back you'd need to do the same thing.

The prices for Eurostar for May, and up to 19th July next year, are already available if you phone Eurostar. Sort out your travel dates as soon as you can - the Eurostar price will only go up the longer you leave it to book.
For a family of 4, I'd go with around 150 euros per day for your meals/snacks and some souvenirs, more if you really want to splash out (food is expensive at DLP).0 -
Thanks for your replies
we might go in May then if the French kids are on holiday from the 4th of July, thats the date the scottish kids get off school.
Is it quieter mid week or is it just as busy as the weekend and is everyday the same or do they have special things on at the weekends?wouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday
