  • Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone has visited both hotels and if they have - which one they preferred? We're planning to visit in February and the boys will be 5 & 6 by then.

    Many thanks in advance

  • Hi,
Me and the husband are looking at doing 2 or 3 nights in DLP, travelling from north-east(middlesbrough) for a 6month honeymoon. We are both big kids at heart!

We were thinking of a nice road-trip, driving their in the car, however does it usually work out cheaper flying? We have a pretty economical diesel that returns around 70mpg on long journeys. We have looked at the FNAC flash sale, and was thinking of booking 2days park tickets, and hotel seperately.

Just after some advice regarding booking park tickets and a hotel outside of disneyland, or a package with on-site hotel & tickets.

What's the best route to take

    Cheers :)

Brilliant, thanks for your help, just stumbled across https://www.disneylandparisdirect.com which seems maginally cheaper than the disney site and no £15 fee. These look ok, have you used these before? Eurostar looks to be available for £140ish, is it easyto add on the disney express tickets to check bags in at a later date?

i haven't used them, but from other DLP forums I know people who have, with no problems.

You don't need Disney Express if you're staying for more than 2 nights at DLP in my opinion, but yes, if you want it, you can add it for a price of £32 (£16 per adult).

its down to 2 things between those 2 hotels, so it depends which you'd prefer (the facilities, proximity to the parks etc are the same).

At the Santa Fe its a Cars movie theme, and the Cheyenne its a Wild West town theme.

At the Santa Fe the standard rooms have 2 double beds in them, the Cheyenne has one double and one set of bunks.

One other thing - the Santa Fe has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of all its rooms, the Cheyenne is beginning to need one.

So its really up to you :).

for 2 days in the park, go for the FNAC tickets and book an offsite hotel (basically type in Disneyland Paris as the destination on the likes of travelrepublic, alpharooms, expedia, ebookers etc, and see what comes up). You'll have loads of options :).

How much are your flights to CDG from your local airport? You'll have to add on transfers at either end, and you are looking at at least 18 euros each, each way, for a transfer between CDG and DLP area.
  • Thank you Balletshoes. I think we will probably go with Sante Fe.

my suggestion would be to go onto DISboards and the DIBB, check out their DLP forums, lots of activity on those boards, including a discussion on the recent press.

Thanks again for your help. We've booked for 5 days as it was cheaper than 4 (on the uk version of disney site) 4 days was actually alot cheaper on the french site. Staying at Sante Fe for £396. 2 Eurostar tickets came to £180.

I wouldn't worry. A rundown DLP will still be 100 times better than any UK theme park.
