Hi, looking for some advice if anyone can help?
We live in Scotland and are looking to go to DLP next summer (our hols start on the 4th july 2014) So thinking flying would be easiest/cheapest?
Next summer our sprogs will be 5, 4, and youngest turns 1 on the 15th July 2014.
Is there any cheapish deals or anything that might be available to us? TIA, I'd have 2 very excited kids if we can manage to do Disney!!!xDoing the 365 day challenge and saving like crazy0 -

its a bit too early at the moment for the good deals for early July, but keep an eye out on the official website - all your children will be free (hotel, breakfast, and park tickets), as they are all aged under 7, if you stay onsite. A typical good discount for DLP is 40% off the full price of the package. Look for your flights as soon as possible, and book them yourselves, as booking transport through DLP is expensive. Also, avoid a Friday or Saturday check-in date, those are always the most expensive days of the week to start a trip to DLP.0 -
Help!
Me, the missus and two stepkids are off to Eurodisney soon. One of the kids has a learning disability but it is not obvious from looking at her. She gets DLA and has a bus pass. All good so far
We have heard that you can get reduced entry if you have a disabled child but on going onto the disney site it says you need a "disability card" or blue badge or a letter/certificate from your Doctor.
We have been to our Doctor and he has said yes, he will do a letter but what do we want on it?
This is where I am stumped, I am assuming it involves a description of the disability but what else could go on there? I don't want to get to the gate and find out we have a problem. As for a certificate I guess that the only certificates doctord issue are "fit notes", would one of there do (she is only 10)

We went in August and had a fab time.
My son is quite severely autistic and gets really distressed around lots of people, so I took a letter from our GP stating this - and his diagnosis. We went to City Hall - on the left as you go in, and they gave us a pass for all the rides that he was eligible for, as well as priority space at the parades and Disney Magic fireworks. It was especially good for the really busy rides, didn't necessarily mean that we got on straight away, but did mean we got to wait somewhere quiet.
We also got to meet the characters, again, no quicker, but away from the hoardes of others.
Going to Florida next year we loved DLP so much. Quite concerned about the new disabled pass there, but as long as we can be away from people, we should be fine. I have a whole 10 months to work on queueing with him.0 -
Oh, it cost me £25 for the letter from the dr, which stated something like:
" A has been disagnosed with ASD, xxxx, xxxx, xxxx. His mother informs me that he struggles to cope around large numbers of people and loud noises. He also suffers from severe eating difficulties which mean he must take his own food to be consumed in restaurants.
I have been informed that a special access pass would be available and may help him enjoy a holiday and visit to DLP without causing him undue stress and upset."
Something like that.0 -
Thanks for your replies, it was exactly what I was looking forThe World come on.....0

Just be aware that the letter has to be dated within 3 months if going. And I don't think you can get a discount on entry prices.
That ticket was worth it's weight in gold for us.

Is this a recent change, as I was told 2 years when I enquired about this at City Hall last year?"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller
