Hi everyone!
calling close your eye and keep scrolling...I'm afraid I'm talking parties again!
It was DSs birthday party today. I was really impressed with the turnout and am absolutely gobsmacked by the amount of presents, cards and cash DS has received...£100 in cash alone!! He has spent £40 already on a game he has wanted for ages, but has decided to save the rest. The party went really well and was the first outing for my sweet cart, which is part of my new business. It went down really well and quite a few of my business cards disappeared, so I am hoping I will get some custom soon.
My cupboards are looking bare at the moment but I am quite impressed that I have not given in and gone shopping yet. I managed to throw together a stir fry this evening and am sure I have enough bits to make a small roast dinner tomorrow. Am trying to put off shopping as long as possible as budgets are tight at the moment.
Monday is the deadline for hearing back about my grants and it's not looking good, so I am thinking about doing my masters part time so I have longer to pay it off, plus it will give me longer to complete the work.
Little ones are finally in bed so am going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing as it is back to work for me tomorrow.0 -
Bob Oz sounds lovely I need to go.
Well had a lovely day spent £4 on an Indian meal for 2 asda. So ate just one of them for tea. Had a friend for lunch used up quiche from freezer with salad and made a rhubarb crumble.
May get to defrost freezer very soon now.
Fmess well done on getting some company, I agreed to drive bit after work one night a week to catch up with a friend, even just walk, and a coffee. As we both decided horrid staying in nice weather in evenings so meet halfway. I do meet up every am and evening with 3 male dog walking mates. They are clowns and do have a good laugh with them - just thinking like Last of the summer wine younger version.
Welshkitty hope you get yr funding and business takes off soon. Be over for leftover cake soon.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
calling I want dog walking friends! I know lots of local people through dog walking but mainly just to say hi to or pass a few pleasantries with. I'm naturally quite shy and awkward (but talk way too much if I really know someone) but need to make more of an effort to get out there and socialise.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all,
It is quiet on here again, but know it's the usual second half of the month slow down.
Today is going to be a SFD, I'm determined not to spend anything. Just having an hour relaxing in bed and reading various forum pagesFelt guilty for a moment and then told myself off, this is my life and I'll do whatever I like, whenever I like.
Plan for today has changed as my parents insisted I went for dinner with them tonight instead of visiting gran this morning. They are going to see her anyway and it would mean double the amount of petrol for me if I did both. So I plan to potter around the house and get more chores done, including sorting out lots of clutter that is left over from my past relationship and all the paperwork that has been hoarded in the office since I kondoed it at Easter.
Hope you all have a lovely day, the rain appears to have finished here so the garden has been watered for free but I can now enjoy the garden for the rest of the dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Fmess dog walking mates, easy to find if you walk same route each day at same time. Nice as all the dogs get on as well.
My feet hurt so going to look at walking shoes/boots today. Look only hmmmmmm. Good news lost my credit card so can't spend on it. Reported it.
Sun is out here, play in garden later on still windy and tad chilly this am.
Anyone want to cook me a roast ;-(LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
I don't want to cook a roast but I do want to eat one! It's a shame you're not nearer Calling, we could have walked the dogs to a pub and got a Sunday roastLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi turtles! Had planned to go get some of the elderflowers that we saw yesterday and make some cordial, but it's rained all morning and they'll be wet (not supposed to pick them wet apparently, changes the flavour). I've had a potter-y day, fed the tomato plants earlier in spite of the rain and made a list for OH to tackle in his six-week break (nothing too strenuous, just all the nagging little jobs that never get done otherwise). One job was to be to take the desk we have in the spare room to the tip, as it won't fit in there with the new bed, but in the spirit of reduce/reuse/recycle I went to have a look on freecycle, and there was a lady on there who wanted a desk! Her hubby's coming to get it later today, so OH has dismantled it a bit for easier transport. Pleased I did that as it's saved OH a difficult job (getting it to the tip in his little car) and it means someone else can get some use out of it as there's really nothing wrong with it!
Hope everyone's had a relaxing Sunday - Fmess, I'm with you; I'm not going to volunteer to make the roast, but I'll help eat it!Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

Hi Folks.
DD got back from her trip this morning and was so tired she couldn't face going to Pony Club so that's £20 saved. DS and DH are doing a charity bag pack at the supermarket for our football team and hopefully will manage to leave without buying anything.
I have had one of those epic clear outs where half your body is inside a cupboard and you are just wildly flinging things over your shoulder. No-one will be able to find anything now except me - tee hee. Yesterday we took two of those big charity bags to the charity shop full of kids toys, loads of carriers into the recycling bin at the supermarket and my car boot is full again of things to drop off tomorrow plus two bags of school uniform for the Surestart bin for people in need of a uniform and a big bag of uniform with the school logo to give to a friend.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi all...
No SFDs claimed this weekend am afraid - Have to limp through my last week until pay day now... Have plenty in the fridge/freezer though which is good.
Thanks Calling - that's kind. My low mood has blown over now - and I'm feeling heaps better.

Well on the naughty step. Yes I bought walking shoes/boots couldn't resist a bargain were £120 now £29.99, as changed style now and new model out. Whilst I was there also bought a breathable waterproof jacket, more lightweight that my blue coat which sure been wearing for at least 10yrs. Half price now 34.00. Been meaning to get kitted out for ages as I do spend at least 2hrs a day out walking so in my eyes justified.
Today nice walk around Conwy then zoo visit this afternoon with hungover daughter and overtired grandson. On the wine after few hrs out with them.
Using my other asda ready meal, next week Fmess roast and walk sounds great xLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220
