Hideous in Tunisia, no question. It doesn't rule out the whole region though, most of which is even more concerned about ISIS than we are here.
Personally I'd love to be able to afford some time in Oman, beautiful and friendly country, just a bit pricey!
As for those avoiding 'all islamic countries', that's fine, but you really are limiting yourself when there are some great places out there. Bali (and rest of Indonesia), Turkey, Malaysia to name a few.
If you let yourself be terrorised, the terrorists win.0 -

I'd rather be alive than get one over on the terrorists TBH. I didn't live through 30 years of IRA bombings on London to get killed on holiday.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I understood that Bali was mainly Hindu rather than Islam....Hideous in Tunisia, no question. It doesn't rule out the whole region though, most of which is even more concerned about ISIS than we are here.

With the distinct possibility that the Russian airliner that crashed over the Sinai peninsular may have been brought down by a bomb placed on board at Sharm airport the region looks even less appetising as a winter sun destination.
It looks like Florida again for us this year.0 -
Take a wrong turning down Orange Blossom Trail and you will get scared.
Tourists get mugged and murdered all over the world.
I remember 20 years ago, Orlando was a high risk area. A lot of hotels had armed security, risk was so high0 -
I don't recall bombs going off, people being beheaded or lone gunmen killing a large number of innocent people in Orlando all because they were Western.
Or was this a different Orlando ?0 -

I think you two should go to Slumberland (the shop) for the holidays-they have loads of beds you can hide under.
UK is not safe if you believe the rhetoric from MI5 (who of course would say that
).
PPI didn't live through 30 years of IRA bombings on London to get killed on
So did you leave London for those 30 years?
I'm flying German Wings tomorrow-should I cancel?

Miami is probably worse tbh, however for the last 15 years, almost every form of crime in Orlando, the numbers are more than DOUBLE the US average.
