Why do you assume I mean ALL body hair is unhygenic and unsightly, when I didn't say that? I (and Georgie) said LOTS of body hair is unsightly and unhygenic... not ANY body hair.

Quit trying to put words into my mouth to suit your agenda.

Eh? What agenda do I have?

Lots of body hair can be taken two ways, as in the majority of body hair, or as in being covered in body hair. I thought you meant the latter, so I obviously took it the wrong way.

    Relax.

Would you laugh at someone who had bad facial scarring or something? It also doesn't fit into beauty ideals and while it might not be their fault they can at least try and cover it with makeup to make it easier to look at them?
What about people with missing limbs? Again, not their fault but they can hide it with prosthetics?
Yet people make such a huge deal for some BODY HAIR lol

Those really aren't relevant examples at all. People who have scaring or who are missing a limb, that isn't their own choice, that either happen by an accident or they were like that from birth. To embrace your body hair, that is your own choice, and the two are not even comparable.

The OPs FWB's fetish - I'd dump my girlfriend if she stopped shaving.
Not 'obviously' a fetish at all.

Just because you find it gross doesn't mean everyone does.

    Sorry Aileth :(

I am just so used to people twisting my words on here to try and get me to argue with them, and making out I have said things I never said, so I thought you were doing the same.

I can see you weren't now.

    Sorry. :)

As I said, I think excessive body hair is a bit unsightly, but that's a bit harsh isn't it?!

What if you get married and she gets ill and cannot shave, would you still dump her then?

As I said, I shave - down below - as I prefer it 'very trimmed,' almost to the point of the hair being non existent, but that's my choice, not my husband's. Although he never complains. :D

I don't need to shave anywhere else.

If your comfortable and it makes you happy, then go for it.
Do I find it attractive, no. Not at all. But that shouldn't bother you, nor should anyone.

One thing that does strike me about your posts, you chose to go against convention, to stand out from the norm, to defy common perceptions and beliefs and making a bold statement, then are shocked when people find it unusual?

I could dye my hair pink tomorrow, wear nothing but lady gaga knockoffs, and would fully expect funny looks.
You cannot force acceptance of personal choices any more than society can dictate you as an individual.

Again, good for you for being you. Don't let people get to you, but don't expect people to change their beliefs / values imeadiatly just because you have.

I remember my sister having a huge dilemma when she had to go for a smear, about what the doctor would think about her 'bush.' She didn't realise how daft she was being until she asked me "should I shave for the doctor?" :rotfl:

And the official source backing up that claim is......?
