This is exactly the thing I have a problem with.
You can think I'm gross. That's fine, it's your opinion and I can handle that. I'm sure I'm now gross to like 90% of the world.
If you want to RESPECTFULLY tell me 'wow your hairy!' I don't mind.
What I do mind is being TOLD what to do - who the hell are YOU to tell ME what to do with my body? Did I invite you to touch me? No I did not. Did I invite you into my bed? No I did not. So what I CHOOSE to do with my own body is MY business.
And it's funny that you mention god because if he didn't intend for me to be hairy, I wouldn't be. So its not for his sake.
I expected when I finally bared my hairyness I'd get some weird looks and raised eyebrows. I'm a pretty confident person so I don't mind those raised eyebrows.
Those guys laughing at me - it's not that I care about their opinion, I don't. But it ridiculously hard to sit there and have people stare at you and laugh at you like a hyena like your a freak, even if you are, you don't really need the reminder...
What I could have done is get up and move to another carriage. Or put my cardigan back on. Or cried because they made me feel like utter crap and less than a human being.
But I sat there and gave them death glares for the entire journey daring them to tell me about myself. Maybe this made them laugh at me even more idk, I don't even care. My point was basically just why be so frickin rude on someone's appearance just because it doesn't fit to your beauty standards?
Would you laugh at someone who had bad facial scarring or something? It also doesn't fit into beauty ideals and while it might not be their fault they can at least try and cover it with makeup to make it easier to look at them?
What about people with missing limbs? Again, not their fault but they can hide it with prosthetics?
Yet people make such a huge deal for some BODY HAIR lol

Thanks to everyone else for the supportive comments though, I did feel better last night after a good rant :)
    Domayne - I like your style. :T

To all the people saying the OP is disgusting and rank and she should shave,

What exactly makes you feel that every single female should conform to your idea of beauty, even complete strangers?

Power to you, OP. I wish I had your courage.
  • I find it very strange that random men would start ranting at a woman who had a bit of armpit hair showing; seems like an odd thing to 'pick on.' Me personally, I am blessed with not being at all hairy as I am fair, so don't have to shave anything really. I just trim what little there is down below to keep it neat and tidy.

Whilst I won't use such strong words as some have, and say hairy women look gross, I must say it's not a great look, and I would go so far as to say I seriously doubt most men are attracted to hairy women. However if you are only wanting to please YOU, and you are happy to be hairy, then that's your perogative.

I have to agree with Georgie that lots of body hair on a woman is unsightly and quite unhygenic.

And it has been said by hirsuit supporters that it's unnatural to shave and that we should all leave it, as that is how nature intended; but this is the 21st century and life has moved on from the days of Neanderthal man. And if that is the case, that we should all be natural and as nature intended, let's all give up cars, and travelling by train, and give up tv and the internet. Give up using sanitary towels and tampons and condoms and pain relief in childbirth, and give up using make up and central heating, everything in the modern world....The list is endless. To say we should leave body hair where it is because 'it's natural' is ridiculous IMO.

Many people find noticeable and dark body hair unnattractive; if you choose to keep it and show it off, then you have to accept people will comment. That is just the way it is. And comparing to facial scars is just ridiculous; they are NOT the same at all!

Oh and I don't find men who are very hairy particulary attractive either. They don't need to be be smooth and hairless, but I don't want a gorilla in my bed either!

I hope you don't mean all body hair is unhygienic. Pubic hair is there for a reason, and having none is a lot more unhygienic than having lots.

Has there ever been a recorded incident of a hot lady and horny man heading to the bedroom for naughties, getting all steamed up, getting naked and then the man on sighting some body hair tucking his erection back in his pants and politely saying "awfully sorry, changed my mind, think I'll nip back to the lounge and catch a repeat of Columbo on ITV3"?
    They are an EYESORES!!!!

Does God also think that women should shave? smiley-confused013.gif

I can't see where it is gross at all.
It's a personal decision that should not affect anybody else - apart from maybe someone the OP may have a relationshiup with and she's said he's fine with her not shaving.

    Obviously a fetish

You chose to stop shaving and be gross, so deal with the consequences. You can't compare it to losing a limb, because that wasn't a choice.

You stopping shaving was a conscious decision, I'd probably stare and laugh too. Have some self-respect.

Why do you assume I mean ALL body hair is unhygenic and unsightly, when I didn't say that? I (and Georgie) said LOTS of body hair is unsightly and unhygenic... not ANY body hair.

Quit trying to put words into my mouth to suit your agenda.

    Whose fetish?

Not my fetish, nor - I suspect - the OP's.

Just a simple way of saying it's absolutely nothng at all to do with you or anyone else - including the rude, mannerless oiks on the train - whether the OP chooses not to shave legs, armpits, bikini line or fanny.

The OPs FWB's fetish - I'd dump my girlfriend if she stopped shaving.
