Bank of Scotland, Halifax and now TSB have closed my Accounts

I quoted what Clydesdale are saying on their website to switch to their account, only because it is there, and no amount of bluster will make it disappear.Where do T/c's start and end.?
This is presumably not a serious question.I personally couldn't care less about the T/cs, they are for the companys benefit, not the punters, which I will not become one.
In the meantime, to repeat: there have so far been no switching offer T&Cs that talk about 'main accounts'. I don't expect there will ever be, as there cannot possibly be a common definition of 'main account' applicable for everybody.0 -

LBG has problems with their external data feeds. I've had accounts with the Halifax for years but they recently decided to change my name from 'Mr' to 'Mrs' on all my accounts, including sharedealing account, without asking my permission. The first I knew about it was when I received a new credit card in the post with my supposedly new name on it. They didn't change my Lloyds accounts, only Halifax and BOS.
I had to go into a branch with ID before they would fix the problem, but both on the phone and in branch they said the change of name was triggered by an external data source but they couldn't say which. They suggested I get copies of my credit report to check for possible identity theft. Reports from all 3 agencies were fine with nothing unexpected at all.
I concluded that LBG are a bit rubbish at merging external data into their own customer data.0 -
so its safer if you dont have many accounts0

I realise this is an old post - but they still do today. I updated my address with Lloyds last month, and Halifax and TSB both automatically changed my address too. I was expecting Halifax to but was surprised TSB still does.0 -

I'm very surprised about that. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Yes TSB has taken a mini me version of all lloyds systems but they can't see each other's accounts. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
it sounds very much as if they are still sharing a back-end database. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

Interesting because 7 months ago I could not get a basic savings a/c with Halifax, just over a week ago I got the £5 Reward Account from Halifax after my TSB 5% £1500 balance tripled in 6 months.
Then M&S gave me a a/c when HSBC refused me 7 months ago too...
After Sab bought TSB you would think so much time later a massive Spanish bank would have completely split ties with LBG backhaul.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
