This is probably no use to you as its a Bt web page .

    BT Sport changes

    What are the changes?

    • BT Sport Pack is free for new customers who take BT Broadband and BT TV on a new minimum contract term of 12 or 18 months. BT Sport Pack is also free for existing BT Broadband and TV customers who recontract those services for a further 18-month minimum contract term. Customers that don't take BT TV can still view BT Sport on one of the alternative platforms - see below for details.
    • Customers watching the BT Sport Pack on Sky can get it for £5 a month if you're within your broadband minimum contract term. If you're not in a minimum contract term, it's £11.75 a month. You can always sign up for a further 12 or 18 month BT Broadband minimum contract term to watch the BT Sport Pack for £5 a month
    • If you watch on the app only, then it's £5 a month
    • If you only get the BT Sport Pack from us on Sky (without BT Broadband), then it's £19.99 a month
Click here to find out more about the great sport available on the BT Sport Pack >
If you don’t want to take a BT TV contract, and don’t want to pay £5 for the BT Sport Pack from 1 August, you have the option to downgrade to BT Sport Lite – a new service that launches on 1 August.

BT Sport Lite includes the following great content:
    • 38 exclusively live Barclays Premier League matches
    • Aviva Premiership Rugby
    • Scottish Professional Football League
Existing BT Sport Pack customers can take BT Sport Lite without the need to enter a new minimum contract term and it is free of charge to BT TV customers and App Only customers.
For those watching on Sky, it is free if you're in a BT Broadband minimum contract term, but £6.75 if you are outside your broadband minimum contract term and don't want to re-contract.
We have written to all our customers to let you know what the options are, what you need to do if anything, and how to get BT Sport Lite. New prices come into effect on 1 August 2015.
A final option for customers is to cease BT Sport, which we will do for you without penalty. The minimum 30-day notice period will be waived. Please note that if you have a minimum term left on your BT TV, BT Broadband, Calling plan or other service then that still stands.

Must have stopped reading after 'free/mth with BT TV'. More fool me. That's in addition to being told verbally that was the case...of course i have no proof and CS couldn't possibly give wrong info out, could they???

So because BT Sport was free from the start of my contract and was effectively a rolling contract they can pretty much do what they want with it, unlike the other components which are fixed. I don't think i'm alone in not realising this, especially without an email.

They've been underhand and out of order here but i've come to expect that,. but that's another story.

Do you work for them???......if you do, any chance of coming round and fixing my infinity which is about as reliable as their communications. Roll on 7 months....£35 is a small price to pay to be FREE.

me nothing to do with Bt or any ISP.
Why don't you consider getting out of BT now .
With the current Sky offers around it may be worth paying off BT and check cashback sites .

Had my second bill now and still not being charged for BT Sport so not sure quite how I've 'slipped through the net' as I've made no contact with BT whatsoever about it.

Cheers....will give it a look but still 7 months to go so gonna be hefty. I don't like what they've done one bit but fully understand that they can do it. I'm considering hitting them with a 'breach on contact'. This will achieve nothing other than pee them off a bit! This bit under original terms-

''If the price changes, we'll let you know."

I've no chance because as claimant the onus is on me to prove i never got it and not them prove they sent it!!

    ps-They've already given me a £5 credit to cover period 15th Aug-14th Sept which i didn't expect.

Well, this did cross my mind. I took out a brand new installation with 12 month contract in March this year and as I haven't requested an extension I fully expect it to expire in March 2016. If, at that time, I discover they've extended it without permission then there will be hell to pay lol

Is there any way I can check without actually contacting them? I don't get paper billing and can't seem to see anything in my online account. Thanks :)

Sorry...i would have checked online too!! Have you checked emails from BT to see if there's any sign of anything.......mind you i hope you have better luck than me as i appear to be missing A CERTAIN email too.:D

I've just contacted online customer service and was told I wouldn't be charged the £5 extra or the £1 increase for HD while I'm still in my 18 month contract. The email that went out was a blanket email sent to all customers. Hopefully that's correct but I don't overly trust BT customer services!

Is this the case though?? I'm putting together a complaint to BT about a few things and not being advised about the £5 increase by any form of communication is one of my complaints.

I 'thought' that i too was exempt from this charge as i'm both an existing tv/broadband and also still within my 18 month minimum contract??
