    Thanks.

They did provide me with my Sort code and account number online.

I will give them a call.

they did with me too, and having seen how they've handled my application and read the experiences of others, i wouldn't bother. just wait & it'll be fine.:)

I've just popped into the branch down the road from me, who have booked me tomorrow to downgrade my Classic plus to a Classic to allow me to open up another Classic Plus - will let you know how it goes

Interested to hear how you get on.. ' wonder if TSB will downgrade online, without going in to a branch?
  • I tried to downgrade online but I couldn't find an option - I'll let you know how it goes although it does mean going through one of the "sales" appointments however I think its worth it for £100

Have got two or so of these accounts already, wish they'd have had this offer earlier in the year when I applied and got them. :(

    That's very strange!

I've just, in the last 20 minutes, opened an account for someone (as a brand new customer), and was able to choose a user name and password at the end of the application, as well as initiate the switch.

Logged in fine (after creating 'memorable information'), £2K deposited, paperless selected, and cross-funding SOs set up. Tesco DDIs on their way too.

    Easiest account setup ever!

I rang them up. The account is open but for some reason did not receive account opening email and internet banking registration. I know registered for internet banking but waiting to receive activation code.

My other half applied today and her account opened straight - internet banking all ready.

Our end of application message said to wait for a snail mail document, but we chanced an attempt with the username and password registered during the application. We were then able to set the memorable information and gained access immediately.

I never even checked for emails.

Waiting for Clydesdale to pay out before using this offer. Saying that I got two sole classic plus accounts (one was meant to be joint but didn't work), I'd be surprised if they let me open a 3rd sole classic plus and pay incentive as they don't have to reading the t&c's

Nothing to stop you trying to open the account now in readiness is there? Apply by the end of this month, switch by the end of next month.

Even if CB haven't paid out by then, at least if successful you'll have a home for another £2K at 5% AER.

Well I'll give it a try towards the end of this month.
By the way my spare Classic plus is empty as I asked over the phone and they won't pay interest on the second account. At least I'll have two accounts spare for future switching..
