    should I be wary?

It hasnt bothered me, in the last year I've switched to the following:
    Halifax
    M&S
    Yorkshire Bank

Additionally I've opened Nationwide Flexplus, Santander 123, IHG points credit card none of this has affected my recent mortgage application.

Who was your mortgage app with out of interest?

Hmm... at risk of going against my own advice not to blatantly abuse these offers, there doesn't seem to be anything preventing switching existing TSB accounts away and back again. Unless I'm missing something?

This shouldn't be a problem if you only have one sole and one joint Classic Plus account, but it wouldn't work if you managed to get 2 sole and/or 2 joint ones under the old rules. You'd be giving one of the accounts up and you wouldn't be allowed another when you tried to come back to TSB because 1 sole and 1 joint a/c is now the maximum. It's possible that you could slip through without TSB noticing, but I wouldn't risk it myself.

Very recently opened and switched over to the Halifax. Would it be pushing my luck (credit scoring and history wise) to now switch to another only weeks later. This would effectively be my third switched to current account in 5 months in the pursuit of these sign up incentives. With a mortgage and credit card applications in mind for the future, should I be wary?

Halifax is worth keeping just for the £5 per month.

If you want the offer then open an account to switch with.

Unfortunately I've just seen this clause which rules out the plan I had

You cannot switch your joint account to TSB under this offer
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I recall last year one MSE member being advised by First Direct to open another account with them and use that to switch. It's cheeky, but for £100 it's worth it.

Did you apply online and get declined after the checking application screen?

YBS, piece of advice, start ordering paper copies of all your bank/creditcard statements for the last 6 months. Also if you have closed down any credit cards keep the closure letters.

I applied online and it informed me that they will be reviewing my application and would contact me to let me know the outcome. Must have been about 4 days later when i received an email to confirm that my application had been declined.

I switched from TSB to halifax around November 2014 so approx 6-7 months between closing and trying again. They didn't specify any reason.
