Does the 2 direct debits have to be switched over as part of the current account switch or can these be manually set up?Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 23 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270

It does not look like 2 DD are part of the switch.
It says:-
To qualify for the offer you must:
a. Switch to TSB using the Current Account Switch Service by the 28 July 2015
b. Transfer all active credits and debits from your old account and close it
c. Credit at least £500 to your new TSB account within 30 days of the switch completing and register a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits
So it looks to me 2 direct debits has to be registered within 30 days after the switch.0 -
Halifax is worth keeping just for the £5 per month.
If you want the offer then open an account to switch with.
Unfortunately I've just seen this clause which rules out the plan I had
You cannot switch your joint account to TSB under this offer
You can still switch a solo (personal) Halifax account over to TSB though right?0 -
Hi, Just applied. Account opened and provided sort code and account number. Not received any email confirmation yet and cannot access the account online yet. How long it takes?
I've just, in the last 20 minutes, opened an account for someone (as a brand new customer), and was able to choose a user name and password at the end of the application, as well as initiate the switch.
Logged in fine (after creating 'memorable information'), £2K deposited, paperless selected, and cross-funding SOs set up. Tesco DDIs on their way too.
Easiest account setup ever!0 -
