Does this mean AMEX is or is not compatible with Apple Pay?

Amex is supported, but not Barclays Amex.

Hi Paul, we are working towards including Visa Cashback and it should be available very soon. ^NW
@Barclaycards with the exception of our Cashback, Premier Charge and Business credit cards. 2/2 ^NW

Another nice feature of Apple Pay: I got a brand new VISA debit card today, for a brand new TSB account. I could add it to my Apple wallet and watch, and pay with it immediately, even though I haven't yet got the PIN. Like it.

Similarly if your card issuer replaces your card, for example if it is lost, stolen or compromised through fraud, then you continue using your card on Apple Pay.

I've noticed Santander display 'credit' on the side of my 123 CC in Apple Pay now-just appeared randomly!
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

One good point re: Metro Bank.

If you open a new account in one of the branches they'll automatically get you set up for Apple Pay without a physical card.

Anyone else have trouble using Apple Pay in Boots? I use it successfully everywhere else but it always declines in Boots and I have to actually touch the card to the reader.

No problems for me with TSB Visa Debit and Tesco MasterCard.

Worth noting they've recently (?) enabled CDCVM so device payments are no longer limited to £30.
