Finally got my £75 this afternoon after 4 chasing phone calls since opening the account in August.

Last phone call was this morning and was told someone would definitely call me back by 6.00pm (no they didn't!) but I said if the bonus wasn't there by the end of business tomorrow I would close the account. It was there at 5.00pm.

Doesn't really matter as I'm moving it all out in the morning anyway!

The T&C's said you'd be paid by 5th October (which is tomorrow). Just curious as to why, knowing this, you felt you had to make "4 chasing phone calls"?

Won't that mean a weekend is involved, and an unnecessary loss of interest?...or do you need your money one day sooner than you'd otherwise get it by transferring on Monday instead?

When others who had opened their accounts after me started to say they had received their bonus (I opened the a/c by phone and quoted the online offer code and was assured I would get the bonus), I phoned and was told there was nothing to indicate I was going to be getting it, so they put a chaser through to the Bonus department.

That was about 2 weeks ago. I called 2 days ago and was told nothing had been actioned and they promised that someone would call back from the bonus team within 48 hours when they had 'decided' whether I would be getting it or not. I called this morning as I hadn't had the call and I was told nothing had still been done, she would put it through as 'urgent' and I would get a call by 6pm (no call but the money appeared). Sorry, 3 calls.

I forgot the 6th was a Saturday, so it's now transferring Monday. I work a 7 day self-employed week from home and my life gets a bit Ground Hog-esque at times - I never quite know what day of the week it is!! :rolleyes:
