ING Direct offering £75 - mailer

But as far as i can see there's no difference in the web address the site directs you to to if you click through from the £20 promotion page or if you log onto ingdirect.com and click on open a savings account. If you try it both ways and look at the web address line on your browser I think you'll find they're exactly the same. ie....

You're quite right, but as you click through from the £20 offer page to the sign-up page I'd be surprised if they couldn't tell that you'd signed up for a deal because of that. I guess we won't ever know because nobody on this site is going to be silly enough to chance doing the normal sign-up for what is essentially a rubbish account without getting something extra like the £20, £50 or £75 bonus.0 -

Well accoridng to muddyfox470 in post 49 a relative of his benefited from both the refer a friend £25 incentive and the £20 for opening an account incentive. Three members of my family have joined up in the last few weeks using a referral code ING sent me. They have all got their £25 but I'm going to wait till after the 5th of October then try to get the £20 for opening an account incentive off ING as well. I honestly can't see how ING Direct will know if they clicked from the £20 offer link or not.0 -

I checked the links that directed you to the sign up page, and whether you went via the offer20 pages or otherwise it still directed you to the same sign up page (no special directing URLs or anything). I guess if you don't receive the £20 incentive give them a call up mentioning the offer, saying you haven't received the money and they should give you the money back hassle free.
I was amazed for my bonuses to have been paid so quickly.
Thanks to canny_mal as well as he (oops sorry) gave me her last referral code (and because I had just signed up an hour before I thought I couldn't waste it) so signed my mum up with the offer20 and with the money I think she will be buying a case of wine
Cheers

I really do hope that they get the extra £20 as well as the RAF cash. I was just offering my view on it and didn't want to give anybody the impression that it would definitely work, as I don't know that it will - do you know whether the person who got both got them automatically or had to specifically ask for the additional £20 (it doesn't mention this in post #49, although I assume they didn't)? - I suppose there is nothing to lose in asking for the extra cash, especially if the RAF money is withdrawn first and just the minimum amount is left in the account.0 -

Now it showed up in the account before the cheque had been desposited and shown up as "cleared funds" so I didn't need to contact them. It showed up before the bonus, and showed up as the first deposit in my account.

i phoned this morning with intent to throw 1000.00 at ING was told that it is set in stone that only those who receive the promotional offers will receive the promotional incentives and that the marketing dept will know who received the marketing mailouts and who didnt.0

I just called 5 minutes ago, and it went through!
When they asked if I received the offer over the post, and what the code was, I replied I saw it on their website, and the code might be "offer50 - deposit £1000 and get £50" and the lady was nice enough to continue

I just "signed up" for this over the phone but the guy said I'll need to call back with the proper code before they add the £50 to my account.
Does a code even exist? I said it was "offer50"
If not, should I just not bother sending in the required ID and take my £1k elsewhere for a better rate but without the bonus.0 -
decided to go via the website after being refused by telephone. Pleased to say that my £75 was credited today!!
Will be moving it all again soon.Saving money right, left and centre0
