ING Direct offering £75 - mailer

I didn't want to risk £1000 or £2500 (on a low interest rate) on the off-chance that I might get the cash, so I went for the £20 bonus option - I put a couple of quid into the account about a month ago and my £20 bonus appeared late last week. My mum and brother did the same as me and also got their £20 bonuses last week too. There really isn't anything to lose with the £20 offer, as you only need to put a quid into the account.

did any of u have the mailshots.0 -
I've gone for this tonight, I rang the Customer Services Team number and said I'd seen the offer on their website, she put me on hold for a while whilst she checked the offer code she needed to use and came back saying it was fine. I went for the £50 offer with £1000 deposit - purposefully left it close to the offer closing date of 30/09/2007 so the money isn't in their low interest account too long!Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

I got a mail shot sent to my home address, with my name on. It said If I opened an account and credited with £2500 then I would get £50, if I did it before the end of August I would get another £50 - making it £100.
When I rung them to say can my mum do the offer too, they didnt know what offer I was talking about. They said to just join online, and they would know I was targeted for the £100 offer. I was reluctant to do this, so just filled in the flier they sent me. I asked if my mum could join too, but they said No, not for the £100 offer.
Needless to say that I got the £100 last week - the money had been in there for one month.
If I hadnt have got this one, I would have given it a go trying to open one to get £75. At most your money would be in there till the 5th October, then argue the toss about whether you are entitled to get £75. I would take a screenshot of the website just in case.
My account was set up within 2 days of posting the form off!!
Now, Ive removed the money from there, and will close the account ASAP so I can take advantage of the next offer
Hope this helps0 -

bristolleeds i didnt have a mailer and i didnt ring. all i did was open, credit 2500 and emailed cs quoting ref offer75 with customer number and they credit it within 2-3 days.
be quick though it takes 3 - 5 days to recieve passwords etc and they clear cheques slowly up to the max 7 days.0 -
Checked today and the £75 has been credited to my account  .
Never got the mailer, but dealt with efficiently when opened by phone when I said I'd seen it on the internet.
Then had to await "welcome pack" via the post before I could send the cheque, and receive confirmation the account was open.
A temporary PIN was sent under separate cover (of course) but this bit is not in the critical path, just means you can't view your account.
Once the cheque had cleared, the £75 was credited, well in advance of 5 October date I had expected.
So now I can close the account and get it in an FTB quick before the rates go down"Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0 -
My mum is going to be happy, deposited £5 and it is now showing up as £50 (£20 bonus plus £25 referral)
Not too shabby

But doesn't it say on the link to the £20 offer that the bonus will be credited on the 5th October???
Also am I right in thinking there was no promotion code to enter for the £20 offer? If so, surely everyone who prints off details of the £20 offer can get on to ING after the 5th of Oct if they haven't been credited the money and ask where it is????0 -
so many doubters, me and my partner opened an account each with 2500, they both have been credited 75, easy 150 quid. Well worth the risk. Thanks for the tip off.0
