Thanks, I was out at five this morning having fun (before the rain), doubt you have had any.
True there is more to life, however, in case you needed reminding this is a W10 thread.
My sincere apologies if that came over as a bit rude. Personally, I am one of those with Windows XP on one machine and Windows 7 on another (having only just recently installed it). As a computer "veteran" (although definitely not in the Vanguard) I am of course interested in the new Windows 10, if it takes computing to a new level. I was just a little concerned that the discussion here appeared to become a little polarised
It is good to have a lively open debate.
Now that I have a fully legit copy of Win 7 installed I want to know when I am going to get the offer of Win 10.
Well, it is free, isn't it? And I am entitled!0 -

Could be Microsoft making good on their commitment that Insiders who use their registered email address to install Windows 10 preview will get the pucka version for £0.
I installed 10166 from ISO then upgraded to 10240 but I wasn't sure if it was activating using a legit Windows 7 key from the HP laptop BIOS or whether I was getting it as an Insider.0 -
managed to make an iso of the latest d/load , had to use an old iso download , and remove/replace folders with the new ones , just loaded it on a spare drive.
and for people (who understand this) the "toolkit" works on win 100 -

Handy to know for my NUC HTPC0 -
ok ISO,s burn as bootable , that's good news,
however cd/dvd roms are quite often not fitted on modern machines , I wonder why M/soft did not include the option of burning to pendrives.
"Handy to know for my NUC HTPC"
umm , not sure if that was sarcastic ? , why not just burn (with rufus) to a pendrive ?
quick question to you or others , how do you format a M.2 card (64g) to ext4 , without any "caddies" or adaptors
I,ve done it , but possably a long way around0
