OK After a few weeks of "trying" Win 10 - how many of you are satisfied and plan to remain with that Operating System ?
How many are unhappy and going to return to the previous OS ?

    - if it's a business pc and you have no plan B, back up the entire disc (op system and all) before upgrading.
    - start it on a Friday night, it'll take a day to sort out the ensuing mess...

Always a good idea to do a full system image before upgrading - regardless of whether it's a business pc or not

All day? What mess? Less than a hour to find out what's where and set it how I like it - done :p
I didn't need to go and find any drivers, everything was working from the off and the only software I needed to get an update version for was the anti virus.

And guess where that link takes you to? Exactly the same page!

How do I know? Because I tried it! Did you?

Thanks Nifty. I'll take a look tomorrow.

Why would I? I dont run that hardware.
The point is(as has been the case on the many 10 threads) I was trying to help.
All you mentioned was windows update.

I am getting used to it, was on Windows 8.1, but used Windows 7 in class. Don't see the point of going back now, though there are a few things I am not loving. Simple stuff, moved or the icon has changed.

    Well done to you.

If you look at my initial post though you'll see that I wasn't asking for help, merely making a comment. ;)

Well maybe next time don't use the term 'try'
Anyway, off you pop and be a !!!!!! to someone else who is only trying to help you.
  • how many of you are satisfied

Working like a charm on my 4 PCs(*). Won't be rolling back (Can't, as I blew away the previous OS archives to reclaim disk space)

(*) Probably because I haven't slugged the machines with six types of AV!
