  • If we can ever work out how to use this recording box we can apparently make it record an entire series and save it forever. The Clangers will be the first on my list! I must catch up with some of the episodes that I have missed, I have always adored Clangers. Wasp is a fan of the Soup dragon. My little pencil topper Clanger sits by the tv, I still want a cuddly one, though!

I found them! The non-toxic slug granules!
    I really felt these worked!

Also, for individual pots, I stood them on copper plates found in junk shops, or put copper bands round the pots. These work well, providing there's no bridge or overhang for the slug/snail to get around the barrier!

If I can be bothered, I gather them all up the day before the bin men come, stick them all in a plastic bag and pop it in the bin. I reckon they have a chance of surviving and if they do, they'd be in snail heaven in the landfill!

I'm exhausted. Spent today trying to catch up on some the housework I couldn't do while bedbound earlier in the week. When i did manage to be out and about, I needed my walking stick and help from friends (I have the most amazing friends!!). So yeah, this is a whinge but also to remind myself that I'm managing even on days I feel crap.

About ready for bed tho, mind. AH well. Its progress.

The visual white noise of mess and clutter is starting to make me really unhappy. I'm in no way minimalist - but it seems to be over my mess threshhold atm!

Love the sound of the Cow toiletries - thats ace!

  • That cheers me to know you give slugs and snails the chance to survive, Pyxis! I love both of them. Much to WaSp's horror who is thoroughly freaked out by slugs, I have been known to pick them up and let them slide all over my arms, I think they are adorable. Little snails who left their shells at home!

Aw, you did well, dragonette! Have a hug! Now go rest knowing that you worked hard and can relax proudly!

Have treated myself to some Cowshed toiletries! :rotfl:

I have Horny Cow shower scrub, and Saucy Cow conditioner, and Sleepy Cow pillow spray.
I might later try Knackered Cow shampoo, and Conditioner!

What fun names! Found them in John Lewis and thought I'd treat myself!

    There's a men's range called Bullocks! Haha!

There's Grumpy Cow, Moody Cow, Gorgeous Cow, Lazy Cow and Wild Cow!

I've had some body lotion from them before, and maybe some shower gel? They smell really nice, and the packaging is cute! I think atm I veer between knackered, grumpy and moody cow! :rotfl: I didn't know that they did a mens range too, do they do a moody bullock one?! :D

There's another event on down the harbour, a film festival or something. We just been watching the red arrows out of the loft window, they put on an awesome display!

OOh Georgie that sounds great :)

Thanks for all the praise :D The place is an absolute tip, but all progress helps (and improves the ability to relax). Its so cold for June! Its crazy, I'm going bk to bed and will watch some iplayer on my phone with leccy blanket on. Maybe do some crochet - using up the stash is on the list lol. I am potentially at SABLE level (Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy - I'm only 27 lol)
