I need to get a smart phone. It'll be an iPhone. I'm dreading trying to fathom out which provider will give the best deal. I'm with O2 at the moment.....I say at the moment......been with them (and their predecessors) since........wait for it........1993!(I just lurve spiders!)

That was weird......just lost internet again! Went into my settings and found that my iPad had disconnected itself from the server. I re-selected it and it's ok now!
Huh?(I just lurve spiders!)

The channel thing is easy - if I can do it anyone can, and it shouldn't need to reset any of your other devices. I found that my internet was up and down depending on when others in the area were online. I lost wifi for 3 weeks once before I worked out what was going on.
You can download apps to check what channels your neighbours are using, to see if that might be the problem. From a helpful techie person on here:If you use an app such as InSSIDer to look up the networks available, it will also show you the channel number. They don't have to be on the same internet provider to use the same channel. neigbouring Networks using the same channel can cause interference and loss of signal, if this is the cause then the remedy (changing the channel ) takes 2 minutes. You simply log into the router interface (the manual will tell you how), go to the wireless setting page and change the channel. Save and exit.
Try this first because it's quick, free and you have nothing to lose. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Just spotted this. My connection was down for 5 days because Virgin have sold out to TalkTalk and they not only made a ***** of my access, my IT bloke tells me I'm their fourth Virgin customer with this problem in the last few weeks. Back on now (clearly;)), after six phone calls and much fairly basic (not that Basic;)) language on my part.
As soon as he comes back from his hols he's switching me to Plusnet which is a reet good Yorkshire firm:) With a reet good Yorkshire call centre
I've heard mixed things of Plusnet, though i have several friends who work in the the call centre

Work wasn;t too bad today, a but busy but i made sure i cleaned everything before i finished so they only had the floors left to cleanIt's weird actually, i'm terrible when it comes to cleaning at home but when i'm at work give me a cloth and spray and i'm like a woman possessed! I try and challenge myself to get it all done in an hour, makes life easier for whoever is on till the end in that they can just get finished a lot quicker if the little jobs are done. I was going to stay for an extra half hour to finish up but my manager said there was no need as i'd got it done. I've come to the conclusion, i quite like my job, because it makes me feel useful.
I know that sounds weird but for a long time i have felt out of place and useless, like i had no purpose in life, but now i feel i can do something and it's nice to feel like i have purpose (even if it is cleaning and selling pasties...speaking of pasties i thoroughly recommend the new Mediterranean pork roll-its delicious!)

You're what's called a very loyal customer!!I switched between Vodafone and O2 and back again! I was with O2 on my last contract, but couldn't get it in certain areas, which if you are out in the Lakes, is not a good thing! So I went with Vodafone again and got a sim only deal because I already had the phone (which gives me plenty of minutes, more texts than I could ever use, and more than enough data for me to check emails and surf when out and about), for only £10 a month!

Nothing weird about that. It's nice to feel that you have a purpose and to be doing something useful. I'm sure your enthuseasium and willing won't have gone unnoticed.. Those Mediterranean pork rolls sound really nice!

When I take my Mam to the train station next week, I'm probably gonna have a look round the city (want to go to Body shop and Lush), so I think I'll pop into Greggs and try one! We've got 2 in our town I think, but as the town is just full of charity shops and takeaways, I don't go into it very often.
I'm not keen on Thai food at all, so I think I'll give that other one a miss!0 -

Reading up on the news, and about the 3 sisters from Bradford who have taken their children to Syria. Its so sad and makes me so angry. If you've been brainwashed into thinking you want to be there, its you're own damn fault and so be it if you go, but to take innocent children and put them in the hands of terrorists? That is just damn selfish. Those poor kids.
What kind of life will they have now? The boys will most likely end up in some training camp and god forbid i think the girls could end up in serious danger.
Just makes me sad and angry that people would do that. What kind of mother would want that for their child? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
