Just been reading on the daily mail about the red arrow display team from last night. One of their parachutes failed to open (first time in 25 years), luckily one of their team mates caught them and steered them into the dock! :eek:0

I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
I love :eek:0 -
Wow. That's the kind of team mate you want in your corner.
Today I have cleaned my house and complained to someone because something I ordered for my dad hasn't arrived. Then I felt bad that I was a bit abrupt in the complaint so I apologised :rotfl:

Yawns, morning all
I'm feeling unusually upbeat atm - long may it continue!
Code - I think he sounds defensive too, maybe some relaxing time together today would help? Even curling up while watching something could help.
Calley - make other plans, do things for yourself not him. If he stays the same then at least he's not mucking you about. Of he starts being more considerate, well that's good too. Is win-win (and being more proactive for yourself boosts moodand self esteem, you deserve to feel good about yourself)
My plans for today got cancelled, so I can gently potter round the flat and don't need to face the outside world
I'm easy pleased atm:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Yes, that's totally a team mate to have on your side! :T
I think I would have probably kicked off too code. Talk about letting folk down, it's tomorrow fgs! Talking of which, fingers crossed it stays fair. A bit of sunshine would be nice, but as long as there's no wind and rain....although, we managed last time!0 -
Forgot to mention the day out to the animal refuge place. On the phone in the morning, my Mam said "I'm not getting a cat, you won't change my mind, so if that's the only reason we're going then we won't bother". It wasn't the only reason (probably the main reason granted!), as I wanted to visit the tearoom and the shop, and it was somewhere new to visit.
So she said we'd go to this other place that my Aunty had recommended. But you know when you've been looking forward to going to a certain place and someone changes the plans? So I said I'd still like to go to the original place and she agreed.
It was lovely! Tearoom didn't have much on the menu at all, but it is staffed by volunteers, so I guess they maybe do the food too? The charity shop sold donated and new stuff, and was very reasonable, bought a few bits and bobs in there and also donated some stuff that they were thrilled with. There was some cat stuff so they might use that with the rescue cats. All the staff were so lovely and friendly and so enthuseastic!
We went to visit the cats (the dogs weren't out at all, you had to make an appointment) and half of them weren't out, they were in the back bit of their cages. It wasn't like where I got our cats from where you could actually walk into their cages and get an idea of their personalities etc. also, a big down side was that they didn't have the animals names and details on the cages, so I wasn't sure exactly which one was which. I mentioned this to this other lady who started talking to is and she agreed and said it had been brought up before but for some reason they haven't decided to do it?
I'm a big softy when it comes to animals, so bent down to stroke the ones that came to the front of the cages....I don't think my Mam was interested at all. She'd said earlier on that she was worried that with her eyes being bad that the cat might be sick or toilet somewhere and she might not notice (even though she's a total neat freak!) and that it might jump on her bed or at her.
But anyhow, it was a nice day out, once we actually found the place!0 -

Well, done my duty as a daughter. Took my fathers day pressie up.
And he is going to hate it but I did it in a nice way. He really does not like meerkats.
So I bought him a meerkat solar light for the garden LOL!!!
My mum loves them so she will gain a pressie. I also bought him a headlamp thingy LOL!!!

Apparently damp specialists work on a Saturday. This is very bad.
Code, I agree with the others and I still think that with the fact a baby was mentioned OH blurted what he did out of fear and guilt. I don't think he wants to leave you, I think he is worried you will leave him. I ran it by WaSp for a man's point of view who summed it up with "He's offering to jump before he's pushed".
Calley as others said as hard as it is try to take back some control. Make some plans for you that don't involve him so you aren't waiting. Plans can be a night in watching tv with a box of chocs! You are important and you come first, don't wait for him and he may either learn to be a more reliable or if he doesn't you will have enough plans not to care that much.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Heh, if I'm going to leave him for anything, it'll be his excessive video game playing. Or his farting in bed. :rotfl:

Aw, pretty DA dog!
WaSp lives on Minecraft, I know how you feel, code. I don't mind but he insists frequently on me stopping what I am doing and watching him play and I don't have the faintest idea what he's doing. At least he shares his hobby?
As far as OH goes, WaSp said he's come out with things like that twice with previous girlfriends who he thought were going to leave him so he got in first. He said it's somewhere between feeling sorry for himself and being proud. He said if your OH wanted to leave he'd do it because men just do, he doesn't believe OH wants you to leave him at all.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
