Forgot to say, snap code! We're going to the zoo tomorrow too! You've inspired us! We were wondering what to do before our afternoon tea, and when you mentioned it the other day, we were like "we never thought about that, what a good idea!"
Hope you have a brilliant time!
Welcome back WaS, glad you had a brilliant time!0 -

We got in the lift and DH burst out laughing and said "guess what our room number is?", well straight away I knew...."is it 666 by any chance?"...."yup!" I'm not over superstitious but I've got to admit, it's kinda freaking me out!
He nearly said to the receptionist "can we swap rooms? Do you know what my mrs is like?!" :rotfl:
Ok, Georgie! Look, it's not 666 the sign of the beast, it's the 66th room on floor 6. Think of it as 6/66..., floor 6/room 66.
Anyway, three is a mystical number, so another number that is 222 times three must be really good!
And if you stand on your head, it's 999, which means FIREMEN! Hahahaha!(I just lurve spiders!)

Morning all, back from a lovely sunny weekend of LARP!
Right back down with a bump at work though

Morning!
It looks as though it was an early and peaceful night for everyone!
I remember when I took sleep for grantedI always fancied a camper van, Stoodles. Am less enamoured at the thought of reversing or parking it.
We've only had the camper for a couple of weeks, and so far I've only done the manoeuvring. The open road is much too intimidating. I wrote my car off a year ago, and the original plan was to get a very small camper that could double as my car. This is much bigger.0 -
WaS!!! A camper van! :T
That would be great for you! You could go all over the country in that, and not have to meet many people! You could hide away if it all becomes too much! Sit outside if it's quiet, and enjoy views!
Sir P. could guard it when you venture forth!
What would you call it?

I like your way of thinking Pyxis! Did you mention FIREMEN?! :rotfl:
Seems cooler today? Just having a coffee, get ready and then get the tube to the zoo! Then our afternoon tea on a bus!
I think I've actually found a really comfortable pillow! Who was it that said they also couldn't find one, was it LIR? I'm going to ask the hotel if I can buy one!0 -
We had lovely pillows at a holiday rental in Portugal, so I stripped the covers to see where they came from. IKEA - they were super soft down that your head just sunk into.
I'm off to make a batch of rhubarb and rosemary jam, while listening to Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, who were just on BBC Breakfast. I'd never heard of them, but really like this mother and son duo. Isn't Spotify great?0 -
The exercise first thing is definitely working and I am glad DA dog is joining me on my healthy lifestyle (I was going to say 'project' but I have a feeling that would be 'limiting').
I am laughing about your 666, georgie, but can't think of any jokes to add.
oldestgnome, I am really impressed with your thoughts on doing tough mudder next year. I would love to hear about it all. I watched a few of the training videos. omg. But the good thing is that I now see myself as someone who could aspire to it, and muddle through it on the day with a bit of help from a passing stranger.
ETA: And to do something a bit different today, I am going to try the 'I wish you well' technique:

Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

It was a smaller event than the last one but still just as much fun!
The whole story centred around waiting for a portal to activate fully so we could work out how to close it, and nasties kept coming out of it for us to hit. Two of the nasties were a sentient rock and a giant floating paper-mache eyeball, which looked AMAZING!
Then there was a big skirmish fight at the end where we all got to be big damn heroes
Loved it. Wish I was back there.
