I'm not meant to go to this damn zoo. DA dog is sick today and I feel bad about leaving him. On top of that, I have a blister from shoes I've been wearing for months, my havfever is acting up and I couldn't get my contacts in this morning.

Do you think its bad if I leave DA dog and go to the zoo?

ETA: I've booked my ticket for today and it can't be used for a different day.

Do any of you know what happens in a Serious Case Conference when it relates to housing?

Idiots are being idiots, sent me a lovely letter threatening eviction for arrears that dont exist.

Hi Whitewing, Shelter are involved, not getting much answers out of how it will work and what it will cover out of them at the moment.

I don't know anything about these case conferences, but it could well be a good opportunity for them to see where they have got things wrong and the effect that that has had on you. Take it seriously but keep calm and trust that everything will get untangled. I think a lot of success in resolving situations will depend on how professional everyone including you is being. (nb I try not to use terms like idiots in these situations because just as it may not be your fault, it may also not be the fault of the person standing in front of you trying their best to deal with a nasty situation). But, of course, you can rant on here all you like, if it helps!

Well as it keeps being passed to a new person at the HA who then goes on to tell me that its a new situation I will use the phrase idiots lol.

The policy was no children under 13 in flats, they changed the policy without consultation 28 months ago. Housing Officer told me I was a liar when I raised the fact that my contract says no children. Same Housing Officer said the fact we dont have children as my risk of stroke is too great if I did (kind of proved by the lovely TIAs) was 'my lifestyle choice'.
They then took me to court for rent arrears that didnt exist and lied on court papers (luckily I could prove payment).

Now they are saying they didnt know about the health issues, (this is where only communicating in writing comes in as I can evidence 6 years of telling them and offering drs and specialists info)

Oh and trying to take me to court again for none existent rent arrears (again)

so am i pyxis, was going to lie and say I will be fine but not sure I will.

Rock and hard place though, at least they have played their rent arrears hand now so I know thats the plan. I do need to not miss any days and claw some extra money in if I can though which is probably not the best thing ever.
