It will be fine, MU! I have been to festivals with my meds including opiates and all I have ever been asked for was the prescription, several times it wasn't even queried. Have a great time and tell us all about it, please!

MU - not sure about festivals but I have taken my drugs through airport security in their original packaging with the pharmacy labels on without the prescription and nobody has questioned me. Some of my drugs can be taken recreationally.

When I went abroad last year, I was told by the embassy to take the prescription too.

Thanks guys :) one less thing to worry about. There was a post on the group i'm on asking if anyone had allergies/medical conditions so that the admins are aware, i've told them i have bipolar but that i don't forsee it being an issue (bar possible panic attacks but for the most part i am ok at coping with them and worst case scenario would go to the first aid tent if it was bad as i've done before).

They do have disabled camping,so i imagine there will be other people taking medication.

Got to be up bright and early so if you see me here in the early hours you have permission to tell me off! :p:o

WaS i shall give you all an update with pics when i' back on monday! Hopefully it will include meeting one of my now favourite bands on saturday!!!

I was googling power walking and obesity - I prefer to google exercise than actually do it! - and found this article:

When I was 20 stone just after my thyroid and metabolic problems were discovered my doctors told me walk rapidly for 10 minutes at a time throughout the day. I could split this up into four 10 minute sessions and only walk for 10 minutes at a time because of the strain on my joints from carrying that much weight. It actually worked surprisingly well and I lost a lot of weight doing so.

I might put this into practice! The walk from campsite to arena is a mile or so, so i'm going to try power walking some of it! :rotfl: It might at least offsite the crap i will probably be eating :o

ETA. It's difficult to find a medical professional that knows the needs of a hemiplegic migraine sufferer a lot of neurologists don't know much about it its stupidly rare version of migraine and the needs are different
