RJ, you're not on your own.....we're here for you. :A
Could you take a little time to take stock, work out what your options are?
Thank you
Well I'm back at work tomorrow.. meh! Luckily I know I can afford the rent and bills on my own (with no social life but hey ho!!), as I've been doing it for the past 2 months and have done in the past.
Luckily I have 2 weeks off in about 10 days.. so hopefully can sort my life out then!
My best friend aswell has offered to pay for me to go on holiday with her next month aswell so I have that to look forward to!
How are you pyxis?

Ah good! Some progress is better than none I suppose!
She really is! She booked the holiday today. We're going to go to Salou for a week with 3 days in Port Aventura and going on a day trip to Barcelona which will be lovely!!
She's then going to come back to mine for a few days, spend my birthday here and then we'll be travelling back to hers (essex! so far awayyyy!) for Halloween! At least my 3 weeks off is full of exciting stuff!
On a side note.. I know a few of you go running.. not sure whether this is normal or not and would like some advice if possible...
Basically, I quit smoking 4 months ago (going well, slipped up on a night out but it still felt gross).. but when I go running I end up with the worst chesty cough.. doesn't last long, normally about a day but it really worries me! Any insight guys?
Thaaaanks!

Do you suffer from asthma at all? My DH doesn't have asthma like I do, but suffers from exercise induced asthma. Maybe worth seeing the Dr if it continues.
Glad you got your plumbing issue fixed Calley0 -
Got the flights booked! :j Booked standard economy on the way out (wasn't worth paying the extra to upgrade to premium) and booked premium on the way back to get the double luggage allowance
D told me if we have to buy another suit case then I'm pulling it!
Just need to find the best deal on hotel rooms now. Going for 5 nights instead of 7 due to D not having that holiday days left so he'll have more down time when he gets back.0 -

I was thinking that it could be asthma but have never been diagnosed with it. I might take a little trip up there when I've got time off work.
It was worrying me because it look aaaaages for me to get my breath back. Admittedly I was still walking but I was still massively out of breath when I got home - which took me about 10-15 mins because I was walking so slowly!0 -
RJ, have a read of this. To me it sounds like your lungs are just slowly repairing themselves after the years of smoking........
" (U.S. Surgeon General's Reports (1988, 1990) EXERCISE AND VITAMIN A HELP TO REPAIR THE LUNGS ================================================ According to QuitTobacco.org http://www.quittobacco.org/diet/excercise.htm "Exercise is a great substitute for smoking. You may find that as you exercise more, you cough more, clearing out your lungs and airways. This is good. Most likely you'll breath easier and build up your endurance as you get further and further from your last cigarette."
http://www.menshealth.com/cda/article/printer_friendly/0,2826,s1-3-68-0-1721,00.html "The lungs come equipped with a self-cleaning cycle, but overloading them with smoke or smog will gunk up the works. The cilia, or hairlike structures in your lungs, flagellate (that's move) upward, coaxing the bad stuff out of the alveoli (little air sacs) and into the trachea, where the gunk grows into a frightening reminder of why you should have been better to your lungs to begin with. "It's like a mucus escalator," says Norman Edelman, M.D., a scientific advisor to the American Lung Association. "That's a major form of defense. Within a few days to a week (after quitting smoking], you start feeling better, and you start coughing up all that bad mucus you have down there." What you can do: "Exercise will help loosen the large chunks after you first come clean. But you should be exercising already. Retinoic acid, or vitamin A, could actually help your lungs rebuild. Rats and mice with emphysema (they smoked tiny little cigarettes) given the compound were able to restore alveoli, which swap carbon dioxide for fresh oxygen to pre-emphysema levels, according to a recent study published in the European Respiration Journal. You'll get several times the recommended daily allowance (900 micrograms) in only one serving of carrots, sweet potatoes, or mango."(I just lurve spiders!)

Good morning Pyxis!
Thanks for that! It very well could be that because I didn't do hardly any exercise before I quit smoking (oops!).
My legs hurt from my run last night.. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to do a 5k..
How is everyone this morning?
It's sunny here but I think I'm gonna lounge about in bed.. I'm on a night shift tonight so I'll use that as my excuse!
