I have just had an unusually assertive moment. A local store is being revamped, and there has been loud external noise till 1 am on several occasions and the work is going to go on for months.
As I was already feeling grumpy, when they started tonight at 9.30 I'd had enough so I stomped over to complain, fully expecting them to ignore me. I must have been quite scary as after a couple of phone calls to the boss they've agreed to stop for the night.
    I'm not normally that brave!
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I love the rhino! Who doesn't love a pooing rhino! :D T-Rex pictures are the best ever! Next time I wrestle with the duvet cover (and I always do!) I will be thinking of that T-Rex!! :rotfl:

They've done the job code! When I'm shooting daggers at D, at least I can now do so with a smile!

Duvet covers are easy. Turn duvet cover inside out. Put hands inside it to either corner. Grab corners of duvet. Still holding corners turn cover back the right way over the duvet, then give it a shake. Although there's a certain charm to crawling in there with it.

I need a new duvet. Mr Monkey's game of chase the hand under the duvet with DA dog means my duvet is ripped to shreds where DA dog has been digging to get to the hand.

Errrm, that sounds dodgier than it actually is.

Eta: and well done for complaining elsien. I'd have been silently fuming but too scared to do anything about it.

:rotfl: that did make me laugh! However, having a hyper active physco cat, I can totally relate!

I'll remember that tip! I'd be a useless chamber maid! :rotfl:

I learned that tip at school camp of all places. I'd also be a rubbish chambermaid, largely because I cannot be bothered with all this top sheet nonsense. I hate those. Give me a sheet, some pillows and a duvet, which I will sleep burrowed into with my legs sticking out of, and I'm happy.

Just a quick post from me cos I thought you might like to have a post from a rather cold tent in the middle of a field.

    Chilly hugs to all!

Ah yes, the top sheet! What is it with them? They pin you to the bed much like a spider pins it's prey to the web!

Talking of fields, I watch that Tough Mudder programme the other night. (Even cried at some of the stories behind the participants). Now I want to do either Tough Mudder or Total Warrior at some point in the future. Which is a really strange feeling for someone so unfit and distinctly unsporty. What is happening to me? Dare I make it a long term goal?

I got a boost today when someone told me they'd sponsor me £10 for the 5K walk - I mean run - that I am doing soon. I was so surprised but it made me feel great!

I think I can only do exercise if I can convince myself that it isn't really exercise.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
