Wow, more amazingly interesting conversations! WaS - thank you for opening my eyes to MH! :)

Cally - re: your penguin; I've done the same pretty much since I was able to talk. It's how I work through stuff, often repeating myself over and over. :o As a child I used to use Barbies as props for my conversations so my parents didn't think I was too weird!

I remember telling my manager that I have autism and anxiety and she has never really looked at me in the same way, like I'm a bomb about to go off. When in actual fact, I'm OK until people start messing me about and I have to take myself off to a quiet corner when it gets too noisy. :)

Hope you feel better for the grammar rant Pyxis! It is so frustrating when you keep seeing the same simple errors. I'm bored of reading about chests of draws! A friend shared a photo taken from a FB selling page - a 'chester draws'! :rotfl:

I'm now wondering what it must be like to have the psychopath label if you're one of the people who seem to function within societal norms and don't go round causing harm to others.

    I do try! :D

Actually though, sometimes I think that people might like to know the difference.
A while back, there was a discussion on here about the difference between affect and effect, both as verbs and nouns, and I was trying to find ways for people to remember the difference. That was a difficult one, though.

A friend of mine has a blue badge because, following a bad stroke at a relatively young age, she has cognitive problems, hearing and sight problems, physical weaknesses and tires very, very quickly.......

Been there, done that and got the T-shirt and ate the cast :rotfl:

My husband was 44 when he had his stroke and I am 10 years younger. I know what a cradle snatcher he was ;)

When you look at him walking you can see he is disabled due his gait and speed of walking, as well as the use of stick and his wrist is forced down wards.

I drive, he no longer does and I personally don't think it is safe for him. Anyway once we parked in a disabled spot. And some bloke 3 cars away walked down to check we had a blue badge. I often felt like taking the badge and waving it around and shouting "yes we do have a blue badge"

For us its not about the free parking its the wider spaces as my husband needs to open the door fully to get out.

    Morning my Lovelies,

Today has already not gone as expected :rotfl:

Took the car to garage as requested between 8.30-9.00am only to be told when I got there the MOT was booked for 2.30:eek: Oh well had some errands to run like going to Aldi to get my lopper. Never mind. They will have to wait until later.

Also cut back some more shrubs in the garden. And wanted to dig out the roots. Oh well cue one bent fork and me with the twinging screws. And unless you are a bit older than me or listen to radio 4 extra you will have no clue. Its what Jon pertwee use to say in the navy lark. When he did not want to do something.

Need someone to help with the grunt work. Not sure who the lucky victim sorry helper will be yet :rotfl:

    Yours

If anyone has any spare fingers to cross today please I would be grateful!

Just about to take Little Sod to view a kennels we might use for him for when MIL gets married.

I explained to them his rather unique nature, and they suggested I take him down to have a look round and for them to meet him so they know what they would be dealing with.

Not convinced he is going to be on his best behaviour as have already found one of my shoes and a pair of hubbys pants in the front garden!

Sorry that is so funny. reminds me when I was 21 and lived with a boyfriend at his parents house.

Anyway they had a lovely little cocker spaniel puppy. Anyway think he must have missed the female scent as he was caught running round the garden with a pair of my worn knickers in his mouth.

I was :o but I could see the funny side in the end LOL!!!

I am always willing to learn more about the correct usage of my native language. For example, I only discovered the subjunctive in English when I first encountered 'sia' in my Italian class! It's pretty much defunct in English nowadays though, everyone seems to use the present indicative instead. I realised that I had been using it without realising on occasion and people would tell me I sounded archaic

I probably need to find the grammar topic :o
