Dragonette maybe ask him what he feels capable of helping with? He may come up with some suggestions you hadnt even thought of.
I'm feeling another sleepless night coming on. Restless legs are on the go already and I'm feeling agitated.0 -
I'm just worried he will push himself too far if I let him - his health is a bit variable too. Getting him over to help is 50% for me and 50% for his MH. Ah, what it'll be, will be.
Restless legs always sounds miserable - I hope it doesn't go on all night!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Hope everyone is OK today.
Had a bad nights sleep, or lack of.
Got a dilemma going round in my head and struggling to know what to do about it. I have been trying to find out what action I can take but can't seem to get an answer from anywhere.
It is a family matter, potentially a crime although the victim would not report it, and I am not sure if I should be doing anything or not.
I feel like the situation cannot continue as it is affecting people negatively, including myself, but without the victim wanting to take action I am not sure if anything can be done.
Sorry to be so vague, I just can't really give any more detail on here. Not even really sure why I am mentioning it as I'm not sure anyone can help!
Just hoping that by offloading a little I might be able to get some sleep!0 -

Katy, I realise it might be difficult to post details on here, even if to ask for thoughts and advice.
What you could do, is one of the following.......
You could ring the Samaritans and offload your thoughts to them. They don't just deal with suicidal thoughts, but with any sort of conflict. Sometimes just talking things over will clarify your thoughts.
Do you have any sort of religious affiliation or belief? Even if you don't go to a church, a minister of religion would listen to you, and be governed by strict rules of confidentiality.
Lastly, the police helpline, where you can report things anonymously.....I'm not suggesting you actually report it, but it might be useful for you to discuss your options with them, without actually giving any names. You can dial 141 first, so that your number doesn't show up on the system, and just see what they say.
Another thing to consider is this..........has the 'crime' already been 'committed', or is it being 'threatened'? Would it result in someone being hurt? Would any action you take prevent someone from being hurt?
And lastly, do any other family members know about it, and if so, what is the general opinion? Would it help to have a family discussion?
At least by discussing/offloading it onto a neutral third party, it may help to clarify your thoughts about what you should do.
(There is a guy on another part of this forum who is a retired policeman. He may be able to advise you. If you think that might be useful, I could give you his username and you could pm him).(I just lurve spiders!)
