MU,
From a 'self defence' perspective, we are trained to get out when we feel in danger and to trust our instincts. So you did absolutely the right thing.
It is great to have you back. Littlewing loves Hello Kitty so I always think of you when I see hers.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
MU so glad to see you have posted.
I have missed you. Every time I see hello kitty stuff in the shop I think MU would love that :rotfl:
You take it easy and we are always here for you.
Yours

I also think this is a brilliant idea cos I was worried about WaS spending loads on products without being able to try them out first! I think it's a brilliant idea to put them into smaller, labelled containers (can you still buy these at Body Shop? - otherwise maybe the £1 shop?) because altho you lose the charm of the marketing-type packaging, they look fresh and new (and postage might be less!)
Don't forget I am away from this Friday until Monday week, though
MU! So happy to see you. I thought of you yesterday as in Lidl (I think) was a Hello Kitty thingy. I never did find out exactly what it was - perhaps if anyone else is in Lidl (or possibly Aldi, but i see Lidl do have a kids' games thing this week) they could report back?Ex board guide. Yes, Katy you must go. We will be with you in spirit and look forward to hearing how it went.
JM, I forgot to tell you that I did do your friend's survey. (I would have preferred to see a full list of questions though at the start so I could have put answers in the most appropriate slots. I get more control-freak when I am on the subject of things that distress me). I'd be interested to read about the outcome of the survey if you hear at any point. I know these things take a long time to collate. I even had a revelation at one point as I answered the questions as to why I do certain things. So a useful exercise for me. I thought it would upset me but I am glad I did it. I volunteer for all sorts of questionnaires etc but can't recall doing one on suicide before.
I should be off to bed now.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Thank you Faeire! I shall look out for those products! I do hope that you are a little feeling better today. Gentle hugs.
Thank you, too JM for being so kind as to post the cream tubes! I will always pay you or LIR postage, just let me know how much! As you say this is so much better than me buying a ton of products and realising that none of them work after I have spent the money, it's so kind of LIR to do this. As it is I spent more than I would normally on face powder thinking "Naturally Pale" had to be the right colour, instead it made me look like a tangerine and made the rosacea markings look strawberry coloured. I had a fruit salad on my face!
MU! Welcome back my friend! We have missed you! Please don't feel guilty about your friend, you did the right thing and you have no idea if your friend would have listened to you anyway. The Benefits posts on MSE have calmed down a little now so hopefully you won't run into any. Stay here with us. So glad that things are going so well with Swain, too!
It sounds as if you were right to end the friendship with ex-friend Indie. Take care of yourself.
Katy, you can do this! Imagine us all standing with you, that will either make you giggle or you will be horrified. Imagine me poking my tongue out and making bunny ears over your head but don't burst out laughing in front of your doctor, he might think that is a bit odd.
As for me, after sleeping for 14 hours yesterday I managed to stay awake for 7 hours and then went back to sleep for another 12. The long sleeps continue. I should get my blood test results tomorrow. It's difficult because neither WaSp or I are really eating, I am not awake long enough and WaSp waits for me so that he can prepare a meal. Now I am wide awake and WaSp is asleep! We haven't seen each other much lately. The ironic thing is with the amount of sleep I am getting my mental health chemicals seem to be near perfectly balanced so I feel far better mentally. I currently feel as if I could function very well and achieve a lot but of course I can't because I am falling asleep all of the time. If Murphy's Law exists Murphy is laughing at me!
The pain in my right side is back too. The random pain that has been there for almost 2 years now that I panicked about and thought was liver failure causing me to run to A&E, that my GP thought might be gallstones and that we finally believe is caused by referred pain from my spine. Nothing comes up on xrays other than the usual spinal problems but it is absolutely agony when it starts, I can't turn from my waist at all and it causes a dull throb inside of my body. It is impossible to sit or stand comfortably. No doubt it will go away again and at least it managed to wake me up...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

WaS PH has same pain in same place it's the only time he spine stretches. Hot water bottle on it helps0

Good Morning, Melly! Thank you for that I will try a hot water bottle. It is also a relief to hear that someone else has the same pain, it is most odd. Your poor OH, I sympathise with him because it is a very wearing pain.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

It's lost my response boo.
I thought knowing it's spinal nerve pain would help WaS.
OHS first CBT appointment next week
I have this neurologist because of a GP who has left the practice he kept asking who had diagnosed hemiplegic migraine0 -
It does help Melly, thank you. It really frightened me at first, hence the A&E visit. It is a relief to know your OH has it too, maybe I am not about to drop dead of mysterious side pain after all!
Crossing everything for your OH's CBT appointment. It won't be easy at first but if he sticks with it he will likely see such a huge improvement in how he feels. CBT did wonders for me.
Interesting about your neurologist, have you ever met him? I ask that because I have seen my neurology consultant once but most of the time I see the other doctors there.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
