  • Good Morning SDW! I hope you and your husband are ok. Thank you so much, I haven't tried that but I shall. It is such a difficult balance between extremely dry skin and rosacea, using nothing isn't an option because my skin flakes off like sunburn and itches, it is so dry. That looks very gentle and soothing.

I have seen rafts of them WaS but not for years (at least 8) this one is new.

Hemiplegic migraine was diagnosed about 15 years ago initially by a GP and then by a neurologist. This GP was focused on the loss of feeling I have in patches along with the weakness so I can understand why he might have wanted to send me somewhere for testing for MS
  • That does make sense, Melly. How are you feeling today? I hope mean people leave you alone for the day!

then I thought I might mop floors, but I am not able to vacuum because of my condition so I asked if when they were able if they might vacuum for me, and was told to day was not convenient.

Sounds like you have hard floors, LIR. When I can't be bothered to get the vacuum, I just sweep with a soft broom, or even a Swiffer-type floor duster. Not as totally thorough as hoovering, but enough to allow mopping.
I'm not using MSE as much just at this moment in time and no one be afraid to kick me, Pyxis, this might be your job as WaS will be too polite.
Yes, I seem th be the thread's resident up-the-bum kicker, so am priming my steel-toe-capped Doc Martens ready for the off!

    YOU. WILL. NOT. WUSS. OUT.!

Due to the escapee, I relent on the Doc Martens. A soft-slippered KUTB (kick up the bum) is on it's way as we speak! :D

It will be fine! Remember, they're there for you, and to help. Nothing but good can come of it.
Prepare yourself a treat for afterwards! By order! :)

MessedUp! wheeeeee! Thank you thank you thank you for posting!
Have you spoken to work about your worries? They are usually very helpful. They may have some ideas.

Don't worry about other threads. We are all here for you, and we understand completely. :A

I'm not too far off 10,000 posts so that will be my target for August! You may have to put up with some inane drivel until then!

Have a lovely, happy day, everyone.

I decluttered some food items yesterday to a relative who is short on cash and who was fretting about her brother's birthday. We had enough nice stuff to make him a little hamper. It was one of those feel-good, totally spontaneous moments.

Kick up the bum gratefully received!
Borrowing the bearded ones car to go, so planning to call and get it cleaned for him on the way home, my incentive to make sure I go.

LIR I understand your frustration about housework, especially cleaning floors! I get agitated if I see cleaning that needs doing, but can't do it forv whatever reason. Hence the mini melt down I had when the hoover broke.

Hope everyone else is doing OK today
  • Good morning, Pyxis! I hope you have a good day whatever you are doing!

Aw, how lovely of you, whitewing I bet your relative was so surprised and grateful. Post away! We can't have enough whitewing posts!

Good luck, Katy! It is going to be fine, you can do it!
