I wonder why male fire fighters seem to be good looking as well as physically fit and heroic? Is there some sort of selection bias at interview?
haha! When we had to call the fire brigade to a neighbour's house a little while ago, two of the firefighters were women smaller than me!
It was lovely seeing women in the brigade, though!
And another time, I asked for a fire safety check in my house, and although they arrived in a lovely big engine, they were two quite smallish men! Oh well!

Actually, I really like using cloth napkins. Before I was on my own, we each had our own, even the children, each in its own napkin ring! I tend not to use a table cloth any more, just mats, as it's just one more thing to wash, and I don't iron, so it wouldn't look nice!

Sorry for two really long posts.....there were several things I wanted to reply to!

    Iron? whats one of those?

I hardly ever iron as I get most stuff out on the line as soon as the machine has finished and almost all the creases come out.

I'm not sure I quite remember! Some strange gadget?

Like you, I stretch everything and dry clothes on hangers, so most things don't look too bad!
Yes, It'd be nice to have everything ironed, but I don't want the expense and hassle of paying someone to do it, so I live with a few minor creases.

Edit. There's a goldfinch chirbling outside the window! Lovely! Like little bells!

Hello all! Big hugs and warm handshakes to all that need them. i confess I am not reading back right now because I am on limited data but I will read everything after my holiday.

We went to a birds of prey centre and met an adorable 2 month old vulture, I now love vultures. It was so fluffy and curious. We also met the oldest resident, a barn owl who was 12 years old. He had been raised around humans and hated all other owls but loved people!

Today we off to see sea creatures and turtles. It is in a busy area but the centre itself should be empty. Please wish me luck getting there!

I now know why I don't bother with people.

I text the person who made a big fuss about coming around last night. to today to see how they are

    this how it went

    what do you want?
    Nothing
    Good nowt to say
    Why you being a grump
    Not busy
    What you doing
Stuff. Now ugger off and I will text you later in the week

Thats another off my list will make sure I either don't reply or are busy even when I am not. With an attitude like that.

Even if you are busy there is no need to be a total utter plank about it.

I only asked what they doing to show interest. Now upset and really hacked off with them.

Can't remember if it was Code of JM that had advised me to cut down on the pepsi max...but.....good news....i have :) If i'm work i maybe have one or 2 cans but i'm not drinking it at home anymore (and guzzling own 2L bottles in one night :o )

I've switched to drinking dilute juice...ok not the healthiest but i really really hate plain water, and i have it quite weak. :)

edit: Oh and i'm digging out my 5:2 book to have another read of, i also found a book i bought that has a massive picture list of different foods and how many calories and stuff is on them, shows different portion sizes too! So that should come in handy for fast days

Well done, MessedUp! I'm sure you'll feel the benefit of cutting the Pepsi Max right down!
I think it was JM! Mind you, it always worried me a lot, too!
