The aspartame and other additives in diet drinks scare me rigid!

I stopped drinking diet tonic water because of it! I'd rather drink tonic with sugar in it! Mind you, I don't drink it every day, or even very week. However, I really don't want aspartame in my body. Evil stuff!

Like most of the junk food I eat when on a binge. Can't even pronounce some of the ingredients so should I be eating it. not really!!!

I'm lucky that I really don't like any fizzy drinks, except Lilt zero, which is hard to find. So I drink unsweetened tea, to which I am totally addicted.

I went to the Friendship Club! Everyone was friendly - perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. Most people there were 10 - 30 years older than me, but my friends have often been in that age range.

Now I am amazingly exhausted. i feel as though I have just hosted a large and riotous children's party. An hour would have been plenty, but here didn't seem to be a way to leave without drawing attention to myself. This is the first time I have done anything social alone for over three years, and only the third of fourth thing this year.

Hello all, I have been lurking for a long time, but had to say the food addiction link was very interesting, I think I scored at least 7!


I know sugar is my biggest downfall and really must stop it. I got all my summer clothes out the other day and can't get into any of them.


I don't like fizzy drinks either and for a change the other day I bought some lemon tea bags, it was really nice and it suggested making it and leaving it to get cold and serving it chilled, topped up with fizzy water ... I thought that would be nice for those that don't like just water ... I am not keen.


Regarding firemen, I had one visit my house the other day, he was, disappointingly, very short, very fat and very bald! lol.

Yeah, sorry to disappoint, but I've had firemen in my home too and they have almost all been portly and middle aged. Nothing wrong with that mind, they all put their lives on their line for us. :beer:
