Worth a shot. In theory, I can just about swing it but it means no money for the savings. Probably just as well the weight loss is going slowly as I can't afford new clothes any more. I wear tall girl jeans which you can never get in charity shops. Plus the dog gets his haircut and boosters this month so more expense. Sigh. I thought things were going too well.
Try and think of it as needing to pay stuff now, but after that, you'll be able to save. I know its not the same but every penny i have right now is going towards this festival. I have £20 to last me the next 6 days of work (so food/drink etc). You'll be ok hun :) At least when everything is paid for it will be done and free some money up :)

Do talk to the suppliers Code, as they'll probably be able to work out an instalment plan, which means you won't have to totally deplete your savings.

Well, I'm feeling a bit better about things. I did some research earlier about something that involves a mild 'confrontation'. Mild, but any sort of confrontation worries me rigid. Anyway, the research shows that I have to back down, so have decided to do so.

Then I went to AmDram and did my two performances, (not on my own, they involved a few other people), and didn't forget my parts! In fact, I did it all rather well, even if I say it myself. And they were very well received indeed! So that cheered me up somewhat!

So I've ended the day in a better state than the one I started it in. That's the power of the duvet fort and the doggy/catty cuddles! :D

Not sure about the short ra-ra skirt, though! Can cheerleaders wear trousers? :rotfl:.

    I'm sure they can! :D.

Well done on the am dram, sounds like it went well!

Hope you manage to get sorted Code. It always seems like all expenses come at once doesn't it?

I wonder how tea got on in her new job?
  • Morning all :D

Hope everyone has a good day today, i'm still in the "i was doing this 2 weeks ago" mode & still not quite used to the fact i'm back home to normality.

Excellent photo's Oldestgnome - will have to stick a couple of mine up when i get them sorted & add to the photo thread as well.

What came first, the music or the misery?
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

I always think that for every week away, it takes a week to 'normalise', so it'll probably take you three weeks!
Would be good to see some pics!

I eat when not hungry and could eat for england and still not feel full!!!!

Feeling full is something I don't recognise either. I only understand "massively overfull, that hurts". I hadn't realised this till I did Weight Watchers, where part of the advice was to notice how you felt after eating. For me the answer always seemed to be hungry, often more hungry than before the meal. I quickly concluded that I had to go by portion size, not bodily sensation.

That said, I didn't have tea last night, as I was feeling oddly queasy and went to bed early. I put it down to flea spraying the house.

We had an early night last night, which was lovely. (After I called DH into the bathroom and showed him my newly-slightly-hollowed cheek - he was not as impressed as I was, perhaps because he thought it was an emergency).

    I never feel full either.

My guilty secret at the moment, which is hugely insensitive, is that I am jealous of anorexics. I keep thinking, if I am going to have eating problems, why can't it be that I don't eat. Now, I do apologise to people on this thread for my comment, because I know logically that it is completely irrational, and I also know that I would be swapping one set of issues for another set of issues. I do wonder though why I am not jealous of fit, healthy people? (Maybe I avoid them so they don't register in my current life).

Tonight I shall watch Modern Times: Weekend Warriors on BBC at 9.30pm. But I will also watch Long Lost Family on ITV at 9pm so I am not sure which when.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

    Morning all!

Soory I went AWOL for a couple of days, I finally succumbed to the horrible stomach bug going around work. Booo! Feeling a bit better now though.

Going to flip back a few pages and catch up. Love to all!

(And Pyxis, I train in trousers haha, and there's no ra-ra skirts in my kind of cheerleading - everything is very athletic!)
