  • I love the happy food! The other cuddlies are gorgeous too, I want a cloud!

Big hugs, metalswan. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time. That feeling of being free will start to increase slowly.

Great news about the credit, Flybaby! Have a squish.

    Hugs for you, too Katy.

Aw, you can take your pick, Calley! Well done for recognising that you do have a choice!

I love that idea, JM. I try to hint at what my penguins are related to and it would really help me, personally if everyone did. I tend to click on all penguins regardless in case someone is desperate to be heard but it would be helpful to know the contents. I don't have many triggers at all but the couple I do have are major.

Sooo, had the meeting with my boss who agreed some changes so I could keep cooler and sit down more. Only thing was, they weren't due to start until next week.
I ended up over-heating and going very dizzy this afternoon trying to get my work done, so in the end had to tell them I was going home as I was unwell.
Went to the doctors who was surprised I had been at work as she said that from the note she gave them that they should have understood it was unsafe for me to keep working, so she signed me off for three weeks which would take me up to when I would have finished anyway.
Tried calling my boss to tell him, but no answer so left a message.
Now waiting for the inevitable ranting phone call, so hubby has my phone to prevent me being talked in to going back!
I do feel awful for everyone I have left there though, tomorrow we were due to be short staffed anyway and now it will be even worse for them.
Hubby is doing a charity thing tomorrow though so at least now I can go along to support him and put my feet up and relax watching him make a fool of his big beardy self!

    katy,

I was going to say that maybe you should be signed off.

Now please don't feel guilty. Don't let your boss or anyone else make you feel that way. You have to think of yourself and the baby.

If your boss wont employ enough people that is not your problem. its not that you don't care. But be selfish and think of your self and the baby.

Enjoy the last few weeks before the baby arrives.

    Yours

    Calley

Thanks for letting us know the situation. :A

I've decided that the ~ makes a good symbol for a squish! as it's a sort of squished dash!

I've invented an emoticon thing! :j

Yes, Katy, your doctor has told you in no uncertain terms that you should not be working. Your boss has had plenty of opportunity to arrange things at work so that you can continue to work comfortably, but he hasn't.
It is his own fault if his business suffers. He won't employ more people, he won't adjust things so that you can carry on working,, instead he moans that he can't cope.

It's not your fault. You can't put your health at risk just to ease things for colleagues. Maybe your boss will realise that he has obligations. If he doesn't he'll have no workforce left soon, and then no business.

This is all his fault, not yours!

    JM, good idea!

I have altered the etiquette slightly to indicate that a Penguin could have a 'title' IYSWIM!

Can I reinforce what the etiquette also says .....ie this:-

!!!******It should be pointed out that if anyone is feeling very distressed or close to a crisis, they do not have to worry about what they are posting, or whether it is a penguin for someone else or not. In a crisis situation, just post! We wouldn't want anyone to feel that they couldn't ask for help in case it's a penguin! The penguin thing only applies to a general discussion situation.******

So, if anyone is in a bad way, and needs help, they mustn't worry about penguins, or what they can and can't say. Just post, just ask for help! Don't worry about the little black and white critters!

Lovely to hear from you metalswan :) Sorry to hear you've been having a hard few months, but glad you starting to feel free'er, onwards and upwards to your new life :)

JM, I always thought that about penguins too. How would people know to avoid them if they didn't know what was in them?!

Glad you've been signed off Katy. Now you can truely relax :) Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow at hubby's event!

When I met DH he lived in Manchester and I lived in Glasgow. We met up every few weeks at weekends and after nearly eighteen months he asked me to marry him.

We had nearly 33 happy years together and four DDS before I became a widow in May this year.

Today I met with the housing
Before this due to my daftness I cleaned my windows
Not all of them as I have 4 spider egg sacks stuck to them and I couldn't kill them.
