Miss Mario, they should totally be doing more and contributing more. I'd be telling them that if they could bring some food and drink then that would be great and that you'd really appreciate it. Some people just don't think or see things until they are pointed out

Today I've mainly been sorting out the cupboard of doom aka the under stairs cupboard! The cupboard where everything gets dumped and then you can't fit the things in that are meant to be in!

For ages the ironing board, step ladders and mop bucket haven't been able to fit in because of the sheer volume of cr*p that had got put in there. So today I've had a mega sort out. Filled the 4x4 with stuff to go to the tip, took it and then filled it full of charity shop stuff. Feel lighter somehow, clutter gets me down nowadays, and I feel less stressed when things are tidier.

Got everything that should be in the cupboard back in, but it still looks cluttered! I'm sure it's breeding in there!

Could you have an indoor picnic instead of a meal at some point? Tell them that you feel like a night off cooking and clearing, so if everyone could bring a couple of items to the picnic, disposable plates etc then you would like to do that as a change.
Makes it sound like a fun idea, easy to clear up, but also gives you chance to drop hints about how you'd like to not cook for once, have easier clearing up etc. Just an idea?

Took Little Sod out for a walk with MIL and her dog, and hubby. Little Sod managed to drop his lead right on top of a steaming pile of another dogs poop, and stood there looking very proud of himself!!!
Had to give MIL a lift afterwards, with said stinky lead in the car too. I was a tad embarrassed!
A good reason people should clear up after their dogs!!

Doing a bit of knitting now to try and clear my thoughts ready for work tomorrow. I can feel myself getting stressed already.

Ooh I love going to the tip Georgie!! I find it very therapeutic, and also like having a nosy at what other people throw away!

Me too on both counts! The guy infront of me got rid of just two suitcases which looked brand new!

:rotfl: at the stinky dog lead! Animals know exactly what they're doing! :p Bit yeah, animals owners not picking up after their dogs is disgusting.

Hope tomorrow is abit better for you at work. :)
  • Free cuddlies? Did someone say free cuddlies?

I am sure a charity shop would love them, Georgie! Especially the MRSA bug, I have lots of other virus toys but not that one and they are quite expensive! If you did want to throw one my way I wouldn't complain and would pay the postage but don't feel you have to! Just don't ask me to choose because that means leaving the others out and rejecting them...

I need to come off of this high dose of medication, my brain has melted. One more day to go!

What on earth are virus toys? I feel like I am missing something I might quite like!
  • Look up giant microbes, Katy! Lots of viruses in toy form! I sort of collect them!
