    I'm back!

There was an anti-spam glitch on another thread and my IP address got banned! Aaaaaaargh!

Gave me quite a fright! Thank goodness I'd read about it on the site feedback thread, but it still upset me!

If it happens to you, don't worry, try again in about half an hour.
I did send off a technical fault message. Just in case.

That happened to me too Pyxis! So let's see if this message goes through or not! When I saw it I was like  I was racking my brains to see if I'd said anything that someone could have taken offence to!

Edit: Yay!! It worked! Phew! :rotfl:

So peops, don't worry if it happens to you.

I just read that link from mind and signed a petition that was emailed to me. I feel very sorry for the under 25s, not only do they not get minimum wage, housing benefit has been scrapped for 18-21 year olds.

Some young people don't come from happy family backgrounds and may have no option but to move on. Also scrapping of grants, again, its going to stop poorer people going to uni.

To be honest with you, when I read about whatever that group is called, bullington club or whatever that I am sure Osborne and Cameron were members of when they were at Oxford or Cambridge, part of the ritual they have to do before they get in is burn a 50 pound note in front of a homeless person. Someone who can do that, doesn't have much empathy, do they? They live in a different planet to millions of people in the UK.

The problem is, people like Cameron and Osborne, who come from families who are worth millions cannot and will not ever identify with someone who is working poor or on JSA. The fact that Iain Duncan Smith is on record as saying that anyone could live on 53 pounds a week shows how out of touch he is.

They don't care. They will never be poor, they will never know what its like to be poor. And they control the papers and the television. Keeping poor people down. If someone ends up having to use a food bank, they are hardly going to be rioting in the streets. Too worn down, too unhappy, worried.

Jack Monroe made a career out of the situation she found herself in, many millions of people aren't so lucky.

Cutting peoples benefits doesn't magically make jobs appear, but the real problem is, is people like the poster who posted earlier. I see so many soundbites from the Tories saying they want to make being in work pay?

Well its not paying when your company pays you the minimum wage knowing that its going to be topped up with tax credits then the Govt cut the tax credits.

Greece got it right when they said no to austerity as far as Im concerned. I think we very much live in an Im ok Jack world. If it doesnt affect you directly, then it really doesnt matter that much.

Shouting at the self service till is perfectly normal. It is whenever I use them anyway.

Right, I need some ideas please folks. Person who had bad postnatal depression plus work related stress. Is back at work with adjustments but still having work related collywobbles. Good days ok, bad days struggling to function. Has seen GP, tried CBT but didn't get past a couple of sessions.
Will be going back to the doctor. Any self help resources or tips out there that you've find good that might help deal with overwhelming feelings of panic in the meantime?

I will PM you, elsien, as I do have one suggestion but don't want to put it right out there on a public forum.

Elsien - later start might help - just having the assurance that if they are up to half an hour late than the usual starting time - it's ok. Might help relieve stress related to not sleeping well and getting to work on time. Possibly same on lunchtime - if they had an hour and a half at lunch and a space to have a snooze, this might really help them to cope with a full day back at work. The extra half hours could be clocked up and either taken off pay, saved for future "overtime" work or taken off holiday days when tallied up, or if a really nice employer - given for free to assist the person back into work. When suggesting things like this I always try and give management a financial view to get them on board if there is resistance e.g. What is the real cost to the employer of 2.5 hours a week for 12 weeks vs the cost of recruiting (And training) a replacement if a valued member of the team has to leave?
